While the community does not directly assist with moving, they can provide a list of recommended moving companies to help residents transition into the community.

Transportation Services

Granite Farms Estates offers free local transport services within a certain radius. Transportation outside this area or accompaniment by a home health aide is available for an additional fee.

Dining Experience

The community has a main kitchen where food is prepared and then served tableside to residents in the assisted living area. Residents can select their meals a day in advance, and dietary restrictions or special diets can be accommodated.

Staffing

Each shift is staffed with one nurse and two to three nursing assistants who are also certified medication technicians, ensuring that residents receive proper care and medication management.

Safety Measures

Residents are provided with med alert pendants to use in case of emergencies. The assisted living area is not a secured memory care unit, but a memory unit with a wandering system is planned to open in the new year.

Resident Check-Ins

Nurses and nursing assistants make regular rounds throughout the day, checking on residents during medication dispensing, meal times, and other daily activities.

Handling Complaints

Complaints and concerns are directed to the director of assisted living, who addresses them with the appropriate attention and care.

Communication with Families

The community maintains open lines of communication with residents' families, either through email or telephone, based on their preference.
