Types of Professionals on Staff and Training

In Independent Living, our Executive staff includes the CEO, CFO, COO, and Executive Director, who oversee the main operations at the Village. We have a Resident Service Director, a Registered Nurse, providing support for residents’ health and well-being. Our Social Coordinator plans and organizes social events and excursions. The maintenance staff ensures a maintenance-free living environment. Security staff is on site 24 hours, monitoring the campus, and our grounds department takes care of landscaping and roadways. Maintenance, Security, and Grounds are supervised by the Supervisor and Director of Maintenance and Grounds.

Safety and Well-being Measures for Residents

We have 24-hour Security on campus. Doors leading to apartments and main resident spaces are locked, accessible with key FOBs provided to residents. Guests and visitors need to be buzzed in, with cameras at these entrances to enhance security.

Support for Residents' Transition

We offer resources like Personal Assistants for non-hands on care at an additional cost, aiding in services such as laundry and grocery shopping. These can be particularly helpful for residents needing extra help in the first few weeks.

Transportation Services for Residents

Medical transportation is provided within a 30-mile radius free of charge, along with the option for Personal Assistants' van service at an additional fee. Weekly shopping trips with provided transportation are also available.

Dining Experience

During ongoing renovations, dining services may vary. Normally, our Dealamans Market Place and Pub serve Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner with residents choosing to dine in or take out. The Main Dining opens at 5 PM, offering a distinct menu with daily dinner specials, available for dine-in, take-out, or delivery. Both dining areas operate in a restaurant style with waitstaff service.

Handling Resident Complaints or Issues

Residents can address concerns by contacting the Resident Service Director, Executive Director, or myself. Our team works collaboratively to resolve issues promptly.

Communication with Residents' Families

Our Resident Service Director assists residents requiring help with family or physician communications, subject to resident consent. Residents in Independent Living manage their physician interactions independently.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We do not offer respite stays. For residents requiring higher care levels, the on-campus Health Care Center provides Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Care. This involves transitioning out of Independent Living if needed.

Pet-friendly Community

Our community is pet-friendly with Executive Director approval, usually accommodating small dogs and cats.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

We offer vaccine clinics on site, with instructions provided to residents for sign-up.

Aging in Place

In Independent Living, residents are fully independent. Transitional care such as Assisted Living or Skilled Care is available in our on-campus Health Care Center when required, albeit there is a waitlist for Independent Living.
