Overview of Staff and Training

At Genesis Village, an Independent Living Community, we do not have nurses or nursing aids on staff. Instead, we partner with private duty home care agencies that offer services such as light housekeeping, laundry, medication reminders, and assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. These services are available on a private pay basis through the agency.

Safety and Well-being Measures

Genesis Village prioritizes the safety and well-being of our residents with over 40 security cameras placed around the exterior and common areas of the facility. Our front desk staff monitors these cameras and conducts regular checks, including door checks 2-3 times per day and three times during the night shift. We also have a protocol for checking on residents who are not seen or do not respond, ensuring their safety through daily well checks.

Transition Support Services

To aid residents in transitioning to our community, we offer a "buddy" system and a "welcome club" of volunteering residents. This initiative helps new residents become comfortable and acclimated to their new home.

Transportation Services

Genesis Village provides transportation services for shopping trips, excursions, and medical appointments on a first-come, first-serve basis, included in the rent.

Dining Experience

Our dining service includes buffet-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a variety of options prepared mostly from scratch by our four chefs. Residents enjoy flexible seating and the option to take leftovers back to their apartments.

Handling Complaints and Issues

Beth, our front desk manager, is responsible for addressing resident complaints and concerns.

Communication with Residents' Families

We maintain communication with our residents' families through phone and email, keeping them updated on their loved ones' well-being.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Genesis Village offers short-term or respite stays, with studio apartments priced at $115 per day and 1-bedroom apartments at $135 per day.

Pet-Friendly Community

We are a pet-friendly community, with a monthly fee of $15, provided the resident is capable of caring for their pet.

Currently, we have availability and do not have a waitlist.

Vaccination Services

We partner with Rite Aid Pharmacy to provide a Flu clinic annually and have also facilitated Covid vaccination in the past.

Aging in Place

Residents at Genesis Village have the ability to age in place, ensuring a stable and comfortable living environment as their needs evolve.
