Overview of Professional Staff and Training
We have 3 LPN's, a corporate RN, CNAs, and Medication Technicians. All of our care staff are licensed providers in their fields. The state requires that all clinical staff have continuing educational courses on a monthly basis. All of our staff members, including Administration and Leadership, are also required to take all courses as a company policy.
Safety and Well-being Measures
GenCare is a very progressive company, we take wellness seriously. Our Whole Life Living Program starts with what our residents eat. We offer healthy food options which are prepared fresh daily and are made to order. We offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free meal options. The next area that we pay close attention to is our resident's level of physical fitness, as we understand the role that movement plays in overall wellness. Each of our residents receives two personal training sessions by our Fitness Director who has her master's degree in Kinesiology, along with our group exercises. We also partner with Physical Therapist to help our folks maintain their level of recovery from surgeries or injuries. Lastly, quality of life through our Vitality Program that focuses on the social aspect of wellness. We offer classes, and events that are designed to enhance the lives of those we serve.
Transition Support Services
Yes, we partner with services such as Rippl who can provide wrap around counseling, and support to residents and their families. We also have residents at the community level that serve as ambassadors to welcome all new residents into the community by joining them at meals, inviting them out to events, and ensuring they are well adjusted to the life at the community.
Transportation Services
Yes, we provide transportation to shopping, Doctor appointments within a 10-mile radius, and outings.
Dining Experience
We have anytime dining. The dining room opens at 7:30 am, until 6:00 pm. Our menus change weekly, and residents have an opportunity to meet with our Chef monthly to provide feedback and make request. There is also a place on the menu that daily suggestions can be made.
Resident Complaints and Issues
GenCare is very transparent and has a complete open-door policy. Our Executive Director serves as the first point of contact in the event there are any concerns or complaints. We also have a phone number posted for an Ombudsman if the complaint needs to elevate, or if an agreeable solution is not met at the community level. This is true for all Retirement Communities.
Cost of Living
Our studio's start out at $3775; One bedroom starts at $4465, and Two Bedrooms start at $5200 plus care if needed. Our care starts at $400.00/month.
Communication with Resident's Families
We communicate either by calling our families, email, and through an app that is called LifeLoop. These methods really help to ensure we are able to spread communication quickly, and consistently.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer short-term stays at the regular rates.
Pet-Friendly Community
Yes, we are pet friendly.
