Overview of Staff and Training

We have LVN's from 8am-4:30pm for med management, pendent check-ins, and emergency calls. At night, we have EMT's and security guards. All undergo monthly training. They all have BLS certification as well as dementia training.

Safety and Well-Being Measures

We have locked gates surrounding the community, security guards patrolling at night, and all residents have pendants for emergencies and have to check in every morning. In Assisted Living, residents do not have the ability to lock their doors and the staff checks in on them during shift change, med management time, and when delivering meals.

Support Services for Transition

We have a dedicated staff member hand holding and coordinating the move into the community as well as a resident each day to dine with the new residents, so they get acclimated and feel welcome. We also work with preferred movers who do 90% of our moves so they work well with our procedures. I am personally in charge of transitioning all of our residents to Assisted Living. I make the process as seamless as possible for the residents and their families.

Dining Experience

We have 4 different dining venues. Our café, which is open from 8am-2pm and offers breakfast and lunch. We have the Bistro that offers elevated indoor dining. We have the Garden Café which offers elevated outdoor dining and lastly, we have our main Dining room that offers a wide variety of seasonal cuisine. The dining room is open for lunch from 11:30am-12:30pm and dinner from 4:30pm-6:30pm.

Complaint and Issue Resolution Process

We have compliment/complaint cards. All of us Directors have an open-door policy, so residents feel very comfortable to stop by the offices of housekeeping, marketing, food services, etc. Our Executive Director posts the times she is open for residents every day and always has her door open to chat. She has two sets of grandparents that live here, so she is very involved with the happiness of our residents.

Resident-Family Communication Policy

Our Director of Health Services and I are always tracking when and where our residents are if they get sent out to the hospital and we communicate that immediately to the families and or their loved ones. Our Executive Director is always looped in on the status of our residents each morning. I visit all of our residents who go to the hospital and talk to their discharge planners to get updates on a plan of care as well as make sure we have a room available in our Skilled Nursing upon discharge from the hospital. We have a Health Services office where residents can come speak to an LVN and get vitals taken.

Short-Term or Respite Stays

Yes, we do! It is a minimum of 10 days for $175/day. Starting on day 11 the price goes to $272/day. We offer all the same amenities and levels of care as we do in our Assisted Living during the stay.

Pet Policy

In Independent Living, we allow pets and there is no weight limit. We conduct a pet interview. In Assisted Living, we do not allow pets.

Covid and Flu Vaccination Availability

Yes, we offer Covid and Flu clinics hosted by CVS.

Aging in Place

Yes, and that is the main reason someone may choose us over other communities. We have all levels of care on site; Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Skilled Nursing. The great thing is that even though we call it Independent Living, we are actually licensed as Assisted Living allowing us to provide med management services and our in-house caregiving services. Most residents never need to transition in Assisted Living because we can support most of their needs. When a resident starts to need more help with their active daily living and want all 3 meals prepared for them, our Assisted Living can then become a better option. We do currently have a waitlist for our Assisted Living.
