Overview of Staff Professionals and Training

Our nursing staff comprises licensed professionals. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Registered Nursing Assistants (RNAs) undergo 40 hours of training. Medical Technicians receive additional training to enhance their skills. Our administrator holds a master's degree and has been in an administrative role at an assisted living facility for over 18 years.

Safety and Well-Being Measures

We strictly adhere to all regulations set forth by the Department of Health of New York. Residents are equipped with pendants, and we maintain a log of response times. There is 24/7 staffing, with several emergency pull cords in residents’ rooms. Families can request frequent wellness checks throughout the night and day for residents.

We have a welcome committee and an outstanding activity staff that encourages residents to participate in activities that interest them.

Dining Experience

We offer open seating for all three meals with flexible hours: 8-10 AM for breakfast, 12-2 PM for lunch, and 5-7 PM for dinner. Our extensive menu includes an alternate menu with various choices. Residents are served meals, and coffee, beverages, fruit, and pastries are available throughout the day.

Residents can participate in resident council meetings. Our administrator maintains an “open door” policy and the facility is privately owned with the owner being local.

Communication with Residents' Families

Each resident has an individual service plan maintained by a case manager, who is a nurse, and it is updated as needed. Families are notified of any changes. The administrator sends out a communication letter every other month.

Yes, we offer short-term or respite stays. Costs vary based on apartment size, level of assisted living or memory care, and any enhanced services.

Pet Policy

We love pets, and they can visit, but unfortunately, residents cannot have a pet live with them.

Residents can be taken to get their Covid vaccines, and they can get flu vaccines within the community.

Yes, residents are able to age in place. Currently, there is a “wait list” for one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
