Staff Overview and Training

Here at High Point Residence, we have a Nurse on staff from 7am - 7pm every day along with CNAs 24 hours a day to assist with personal needs. We also have dietary and housekeeping staff along with the administrative staff. All staff is CPR certified and food safety certified. We ensure all staff are trained to each resident's needs.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We conduct daily checks on all our residents. We have emergency pull cords in the bedroom and bathroom that alert all nursing staff to an immediate need. We also have our amazing fire department right next door!

Transition Support for New Residents

All of our staff and current residents are amazing at welcoming and supporting new members to our community. Jennifer, our Activities Director, also makes sure that the transition is smooth and easy for them. We conduct an entrance interview with each new member prior to coming into the community to ensure that we understand what their needs and wants are, and we do our very best to accommodate.

Transportation Services

We assist with setting up transportation to Doctor appointments or other things that the members of our community need. We take them on our bus to go shopping once per week to Walmart, Schnucks, or Dollar General.

Dining Experience

We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If they do not like the main course for lunch or dinner, we have everyday menu items that they can choose from. They are also able to cook or prepare meals in their rooms as they have a nice kitchenette with a full refrigerator and electric stove/range.

Resolving Complaints or Issues

All complaints or issues are addressed by our Executive Director, Kayla. We encourage them to fill out a grievance form so that we can better track all grievances. All grievances are addressed as immediately as possible.

Cost of Living

Monthly rent is $5300/month, however, we also accept Medicaid at our community. We will assist in the Medicaid application process if the member needs the assistance.

Communication with Families

We will contact the listed responsible party or the Power of Attorney if there is a need or emergency. We have phones that the residents can use if they do not have a cell phone, or they can have a landline placed in their rooms.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We do not offer respite stays or short-term placements at this time.

Pet-friendly Policy

We are a pet-friendly community. We welcome pets 35 lbs and under. They must show proof of vaccination prior to moving in and keep their pets updated on vaccinations. We ask that all pets are leashed when out of their apartment.

Waitlist Status

We do not currently have a waitlist, however, this could change quickly.

Vaccination Clinics

We do offer vaccination clinics for the members of the community if they want to receive the vaccinations.

Aging in Place

We encourage and do everything we can to keep our residents in their apartments.

High Point Residence Wood River is a senior living community designed for individuals aged 65 and above. This community provides a supportive environment where seniors can enjoy their golden years with access to necessary care and resources.
