Fox Ridge Chenal

Fox Ridge Chenal offers Independent, Assisted Living Level 2, and Memory Care with the main goal being that our residents can age in place. We have residents at all different levels of needs, both physically and mentally. The integration of Independent and Assisted Living residents makes for a wonderful, warm, and understanding atmosphere. All our residents love the family-like atmosphere that has been created!

If you don't mind, I am going to take some of your time and explain each "lifestyle" to you:

ASSISTED LIVING WITHOUT DAILY NURSING SERVICES: (Independent Living)

Our Independent Living is setup to provide our residents with a very carefree way of life. The amenities that we offer include:

• 3 restaurant-style meals per day
• No additional fees for in-room dining (room service)
• Weekly Housekeeping Service
• Weekly Laundry Service (all laundry they want (not just sheets and towels), although they will also have access to a laundry room if they have any desire to do any on their own
• Transportation to and from physician appointments and weekly Walmart trips
• All utilities included (heat/air, water, electricity, cable, local phone)
• Concierge Service (assistance with scheduling dry cleaning, etc.)
• Full-time activities director that plans and oversees exercise programs, movies, games, group outings, art classes, bible study, sing-along, bridge, birthday parties, special events, etc.
• 24-Hour staff to assist them with any needs they may have
• Rooms equipped with a full-size refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, convection microwave oven and a 42" flat screen television
• Emergency access to the nurse via a call button pendant

Basically, these residents don't have to worry about the day-to-day tedious tasks and can instead focus on enjoying life, friends, and family! One other thing to point out is that we are a truly all-inclusive community, so all the things I mentioned above are included in your monthly rent. We don't have any surprises, supplemental packages, etc. for you to worry about - everything is included. The only things that are not included are long-distance phone calls (3 cents/minute) and if you choose to use the services at the on-site salon.

ASSISTED LIVING LEVEL 2 WITH DAILY NURSING SERVICES:

Our Assisted Living residents have all the amenities I mentioned above, but the additional services for them include:

• Medication Management & Administration (our nurses also establish a relationship with their physicians and pharmacy, so they don't ever have to worry about appointments, prescriptions, refills, etc.)
• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living, or ADLs - this includes bathing, dressing, grooming, escorting to dining room/activities and one-person transfer assistance
• Secure Community (our 2nd floor is secure so that Alzheimer's and Dementia residents are assured safety)
• Frequent resident checks throughout the day and night
• 24-Hour Nursing staff
• Daily bed-making, trash removal

MEMORY CARE CENTER:

Our memory care residents have all the amenities as the 2 above, but additional services for them include:

• Completely secure locked down community.
• 3 snacks daily in addition to 3 meals daily
• 2 sets of mind activities each day
• 2 sets of exercise activities
• We offer a very stimulating family environment for them to feel comfortable talking and listening to music and engaging in bible study, cooking classes, and craft day.

Since we are licensed as an Assisted Living Level II Community, our only limitations are:

• No feeding tubes, IVs, etc.
• No resident that requires more than one nurse to help transfer
• No resident that is violent or aggressive to staff or other residents

One thing to keep in mind with our limitations is that with the first two, it is not mandatory that the resident vacate. Another option is to bring in a Home Health company that can handle the things we are not licensed to do. If someone can hire Home Health when needed, they would never have to leave Fox Ridge! The same would be true if they were to ever qualify for Hospice.
