Clinical Staff and Physicians

On Assisted Living we use LPNs and RCAs. All of our clinical staff are required to keep up with their licenses annually, which includes a certain number of Continuing Education credits each year. These classes are meant to keep their skills sharp! We do also have two doctors that serve our community, Dr. Carmel Person and Dr. Waqar Saleem. Both are spectacular physicians with hearts for our residents!

Safety and Wellbeing Protocols

When it comes to safety and wellbeing of our residents, there are a wide variety of protocols we have in place. Overall all doors to our facility are locked except for two main entrances that are open 8am-8pm each day. Outside of those hours, a passcode is required for entry. As far as resident wellbeing is concerned, we round on Assisted Living residents every 2 hours to ensure they're comfortable and don't need anything. We also have call lights beside each bed, toilet, and in the shower of each resident room.

Mental Health Services

We use a service through 360 Care that provides talk therapy to our residents. While this is available anytime during their stay, it is crucial during a transition into the facility.

Transportation Services

Yes, we offer transportation to doctors' appointments through an internal transportation service. This service is $42 per round trip.

Dining Experience

Our dining experience uses restaurant style dining. Each day our residents are given the menu for the following day and are able to select from either the daily special or something from our cafe menu, which typically includes 8-10 rotating items monthly. Residents have the option to eat in their rooms but are highly encouraged to eat in the dining room as this is great exercise to get to meals and great socialization sitting with their peers. Monthly we host a Chef's Circle where our residents sit down with our head of dining to discuss their likes, dislikes, and suggestions for the upcoming month's menu.

Complaint System

Any staff member is able to file a complaint for a resident. All complaints are entered electronically and monitored for progress by our Executive Director, Director of Social Services, and the department leaders for any relevant departments.

Accommodation Rates

For the current large studio apartment that I have available, the monthly rent is $6,119 plus a level of care charge for nursing services that ranges from $280-840 per month. So for this particular room I typically estimate to families between $6,500-6,900 per month.

Communication

For communication, our Assisted Living hallway has its own Director who handles the majority of communication to families. You will find that the same staff consistently works the same shifts each week as we have much lower turnover than others in our industry, so as you get to know the staff, they are all great at communicating to families as needs arise. If there is an issue that needs to be addressed, we will proactively reach out to you about this. When it comes to general day-to-day care, we have Care Plan meetings for our Assisted Living residents once a quarter where we go over their care needs and discuss any changes we may have noticed.

Respite Stays

We do offer respite stays. For the current large studio I have available, the daily respite rate is $239 per day plus a prorated level of care charge for nursing services, which varies from $10-25 additionally per day.

Pet-Friendly Environment

We are a pet friendly community! Pets are always allowed to come visit and we actually have a therapy dog on-site during regular business hours.

Availability

We do not currently have a waitlist as we do have one large studio apartment available.

Vaccinations

Since we offer the medical model of Assisted Living, we are able to offer flu and covid vaccines on-site and typically do them each fall.

Aging in Place

Residents are absolutely able to age in place. As we are a full continuum of care community, we offer everything from independent living to Assisted Living to memory care to skilled nursing. Hospice services are also allowed in any of the services in our facility.
