This detailed information was received through an email from the Director of Housing at Flourish via email on 2024-09-17.

Staff and Training

Flourish has a Licensed Assisted Living Director, a Director of Health Services who is a Registered Nurse (RN), a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and caregivers. Our caregivers receive training similar to that of certified nursing assistants, although certification is not mandated in an Assisted Living setting. Additionally, we have a Director of Culinary and a Resident Services Director.

Measures for Safety and Well-being

Our facility is a secured building requiring a fob or staff permission to enter. Security cameras are installed at all entrances/exits. We provide emergency pendants and wellness checks (for a monthly fee) for residents, including those in Independent Living. The leadership team convenes three times a week to discuss resident concerns and other issues.

Resources for Transition

Temporary health services are available when a resident moves in. I personally check in with residents and their families as necessary. We also facilitate pairing new residents with existing ones as "buddies."

Transportation Services

We offer outings 2-3 times per week to places like grocery stores, museums, and restaurants. Medical transportation is available at an additional cost.

Dining Experience

Our Director of Culinary, with a pastry chef background, ensures the availability of delicious muffins and desserts. A continental breakfast is included in the rent/lifestyle fee. Lunch is our large meal, and currently, dinners are delivered due to past staffing shortages, with plans to open for dinner dining soon. Meals can be purchased individually or as part of a plan.

Handling Complaints

Residents can submit complaints through an anonymous suggestion box, complaint forms, or directly to myself or the Resident Services Director. We document and respond directly to the complainant. A Resident Council meets monthly to address issues from our suggestion box.

Family Communication

We maintain an open door policy, allowing families to request updates from myself or the nurse at any time.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Information about costs for short-term or respite stays is available.

Pet Policy

We accept dogs and cats under 30 pounds.

Waitlist Status

We have immediate availability and no current waitlist.

Vaccination Services

We offer Covid and flu vaccination clinics within our community for residents.

Aging in Place

Our residents can continue to live in their apartments as their needs change, transitioning from independent living to full assistance without relocation. Immediate availability exists for 1-bedroom, 1-bedroom + den, and 2-bedroom apartments.
