Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

Not at this time

Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

We currently have an RN on site Monday-Friday and on call 24 hours a day, we have Med techs and LPN'S that pass meds, our Med techs are trained and delegated by our nurses. We have Care staff that have either CNA'S (Certified Nursing Assistance) or HCA'S (Home Care aid) our staff members can gain those credentials in a multitude of ways, some had taken classes before coming to Expressions, some have done training online through Healthcare Academy. We do also have mandatory ongoing training that our staff must complete.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

We are a locked Egress community so our residents cannot go out without assistance from a caregiver of family member. Our Staff are trained to keep eyes on residents and make frequent checks to all rooms to make sure residents are safe. All rooms are equipped with pull cords, we do have personal pendants available for those residents that can use them, however in Memory Care that is not the majority. With that it really comes down to our compassionate staff and making sure we have enough staff on the floor at all times to assist with resident needs.

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

We do not have any outside resources that help with the transition. We do work closely with families as each individual case is unique, we communicate with the family members as often as needed during the transition process. We never tell the families that they cannot visit, some residents do better when their family is readily available during transition. Some individuals need a bit of time to adjust, and we can offer zoom and telephone calls.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

We do not have outside transportation.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

Breakfast is served between 8am -9am, we get all residents up and encourage them to come down to the dining room, Lunch is at 12:00 and Dinner is at 5:00pm, we do encourage all residents to do eat together in the dining room, we have staff that sit with them during the dining process to see who is eating and taking note of how much they are eating or not eating, for those that struggle to eat we do one on one feedings with them, if someone is just forgetting to eat we will have a staff member sit directly across from them and mirror the eating process. We do have a few residents that choose to eat in their rooms however this is not the norm. Socialization is highly encouraged.

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

As this is Memory Care, it is not usually a resident that voices their complaint, however we always listen immediately and address all concerns in real time. If a family member has a complaint the first line of communication would be with the Executive Director or Nurse. This usually results in a team meeting to see how we can best address any concerns and put measures into place to resolve them.

The cost varies depending on the style of room and level of Care for the individual resident. Private rooms run $6,120 per month, this includes meals, utilities, cable, The Level of care starts at $1,040 and goes up from there.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

Most communication is done by the care staff and nurse, Families are encouraged to reach out at any time to ask about their loved ones, as well during family visitation we will give updates. We do regular Care plan conferences that are set up by our nurse.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

We do offer Respite Stays, they are $300 per day, we do have a 14-day minimum and 30 day Maximum for respite stays.

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

We do allow pets under 20lbs, there is a onetime Pet Fee of $1,000

We offer an annual Flu and Covid Vaccine Clinic for all Residents and Staff

Are residents able to age in place?
