Inclusive Services

There are many services that are included in the monthly rent:

• Three meals per day
• Daily housekeeping
• Laundry services
• Recreational activities

• Emergency call pendant for each resident

On-Site Providers

There are also on-site providers to attend to some of the other needs of our residents:

• Personal/home care
• Physical therapy
• Salon/barbershop services (at a separate cost)
• Doctors that provide onsite visiting hours

Overview of Staff

The Esplanade is an independent senior residence. We are not a licensed assisted living facility and as such we do not employ clinical staff. If any of our residents need any nursing or home health aide services, there is an onsite homecare agency, Link Homecare, that can provide those services. They are licensed by the Dept. of Health and their staff receives required training. Any specifics you would like to know can be directed to Link directly in the future.

Onsite Medical Professionals

For the convenience of our residents, we currently have several doctors that do regular office hours – Dr. Azher Siddiqi, internist, who is here in the residence every Friday. Dr. Steve Abraham, podiatrist, is here every other Wednesday.

Fox Rehabilitation

Fox Rehabilitation is also onsite to provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy to our residents that require a continued care plan.

Support Services for Transition

Our Director of Resident Services is dedicated to helping all our residents and specifically our new residents in their transition. Every new resident receives a thorough orientation which includes how things operate in the apartment, dining, and activities. Our Recreation team also joins in getting the new resident involved in activities and making new friends.

Transportation Services

We do offer transportation for all Esplanade planned outings. A resident is entitled to two-round trips per month to local doctor visits. We also assist in getting the new resident qualified for Access-A-Ride if they do not have it already.

Dining Experience

Our kitchen provides 3 freshly made meals per day, served in our dining rooms. There is assigned seating based upon socialization to pair residents with similar interests, etc. There are daily specials as well as an a la carte menu to choose from if the resident does not like what the daily specials are. If the resident is ill and is unable to come down to the dining room, they can receive room service.

Complaint and Issue Resolution

The resident is encouraged to immediately come to me, the director of resident services, and/or front desk staff with any issues. I have an open-door policy and want my residents to come to me to communicate any of their issues, either in-person, email, or by phone.

Communication with Residents' Families

The same open-door policy exists for family members as well. If there are any issues that are observed by any of the staff, it will be communicated to the resident’s family by either myself or our director of resident services ASAP. For example, if kitchen staff reports the resident is not coming down for meals, if they seem confused, not eating; Recreation will report if the resident is not participating; housekeeping will report if the resident is constantly in bed, not showering, etc.

Short-Term or Respite Stays

Our respite stays are a minimum of 30 days in a fully furnished studio apartment. The cost is the same as our monthly rent - $4,250.00.

Pet Policy

Pets are welcome to visit but not able to live here with the resident.

Waitlist Information

I have a waitlist for our one-bedroom apartments.

Vaccination Availability

Residents are able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations through vaccination clinics organized with a local pharmacy.

Aging in Place

Residents can age in place. We are handicapped accessible where residents can move freely throughout the building with either a walker, rollator, wheelchair, or electric scooter. With the homecare agency onsite, residents can receive assistance with the activities of daily living, medications, etc. Our youngest resident is 62 and our oldest currently is 103!
