Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?
We have 24/7 nursing in the building at all times in our community. Our staff includes CNAs, PCAs, med techs, LPNs, and RNs. We always have a licensed nursing supervisor in the building. ALL team members (including non-clinical team members) are required to do monthly trainings on different topics.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?
All of our residents receive an alert pendant that they can push in case of an emergency. We also do frequent rounding on our assisted living residents. Overall, we are a 24/7 operation so there is always staff here in the building. Our concierge desk is open 8am-8pm. After 8pm, our front doors lock for security, but residents have a key to come in and out of the door as they please.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?
Our new residents receive visits from our resident ambassadors who invite the new residents to activities, meals, etc. Additionally, our team members do 16 hours of visits with our new residents to assist them with acclimating to a new community.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?
For Independent Living, meals are not included and can be purchased as a meal plan. For assisted living, meals are included. We have 2 dining rooms on site, both functioning like a restaurant where the resident can sit at any available table and order off a menu. All of our food is made to order.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?
We encourage our residents to speak to our Executive Director should there be any questions or concerns that arise.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?
We send out a weekly Executive Director newsletter to our residents and family members. More specific questions regarding a resident's care would be communicated by our Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?
We offer respite stays in 30, 60, or 90-day intervals. The cost is based upon whether someone is independent or assisted.
Are you all a pet-friendly community?
Yes, we allow small dogs (under 25 lbs), cats, and birds. We have a Leash On Life program where, for an additional charge, we can assist with taking care of the pets.
Do you guys currently have a waitlist?
I am on a 2-year waitlist for 2 bedrooms at this time.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?
Yes, we have yearly COVID and Flu clinics.
Are residents able to age in place?
Yes.
