An Overview of Our Staff and Their Training
Our clinical team is led by our RN, Amy. She has her Doctorate in Nurse Practitioner with an emphasis in Nurse Educator. She trains all staff (CNA's, Aides, Medical Technicians) on floor job duties, charting/documenting, and administrative tasks. The clinical team trains on the floor and shadows a team member during the first couple of weeks of their employment. They are also required to complete Relias Healthcare training and additional training led by our RN.Safety and Well-Being Measures for Residents
All residents have the option of using a pendant to press when they need any kind of assistance or care. The pendant is worn around the neck or as a bracelet and alerts the care team when pressed. Additionally, there are pull-cords in the living room area of their apartment, as well as in the bathroom. If pulled, they alert the care team that there is a need for assistance. The building is secured, and all exterior doors are locked once it gets dark outside. Our Memory Care is secured 24/7 as it is a locked part of our building to ensure the safety of our memory care residents. Walk-throughs and fall checks are completed throughout the day and night, especially for those considered fall-risks and requiring frequent checks.Resources and Support Services for Transition
Should the new resident be open to it, we introduce them to some residents we think they may have things in common with to facilitate the transition into our community. Our staff meets every resident upon arrival within 2 days, so as not to overwhelm them. Our Activities Director will meet with every new resident to discuss things they like to do and walk them through the process of going on outings, etc. New residents meet with our RN and the care team on their wing immediately. We always follow the residents' lead to make sure they are comfortable.Transportation Services
We offer transportation to external outings only. Our community is not big enough to provide transport internally. We also have an Administrative Assistant who can schedule rides for residents as needed.Dining Experience
For assisted living, all dining is included (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks). Residents can sit where they prefer; however, we do have a table specifically for any residents that need help. Room trays can be delivered if a resident prefers to stay in their room, though we encourage dining room socialization. In our Independent Living, residents can cook in their rooms and add a meal plan (breakfast, lunch, or dinner) to their stay.Resident Complaint and Issue Resolution
Residents can call an anonymous phone number, reach out to a caregiver, contact our Executive Director or RN, or fill out a form in the building and place it in our mailbox. They can also discuss issues at Resident Council meetings, which are held monthly. All issues are addressed immediately.Cost of Living in the Community
I have included the rate sheets for you to review. I am unsure if you are interested in Assisted Living, Memory Care, or Independent Living, so I included them all.Communication with Residents' Families
We follow residents' preferences regarding who and when they want someone contacted or updated. If the Power of Attorney is activated, they will always get a call for any updates or needs.Short-Term or Respite Stays
We offer respite availability in our Assisted Living. Our respite stay requires a 28-day minimum. This is due to the substantial behind-the-scenes work involved in any move-in, including respite stays. The cost is $250 per day.Pet-Friendly Policy
Pets can visit as long as we have documentation of their vaccinations. Animals are only allowed in our Independent Living building if the resident can care for them 100%.Current Waitlist Status
We have a waitlist in our Independent Living. We currently have 1 room available in our Assisted Living and 2 rooms available in our Memory Care, but this can change at any time.Vaccinations Available in the Community
Depending on the time of year, yes. We frequently hold flu vaccination clinics in the community. There is no scheduled clinic at this time, but this can change soon.Aging in Place
Generally, yes. That is always the goal. However, circumstances may arise where this is not possible, though such instances are rare. For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
