Overview of Staff and Their Training
We have trained certified nursing aides, LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses), and RNs (Registered Nurses) in the facility at all times. Physician rounds occur on Tuesday and Friday, while NP (Nurse Practitioner) rounds are conducted on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. They are also available to call 24/7. Once hired, staff members undergo facility training and then floor training with CNA preceptors until they feel prepared.Measures for Resident Safety and Well-being
Each resident is evaluated by the interdisciplinary team for appropriate safety interventions. We have a locked memory care unit, and the facility requires a passcode to enter and exit. We ensure a clean, barrier-free environment for our residents.Resources and Support Services for Transition
We do not specifically have resources for transitioning to the community. However, we refer interested residents to local agencies like Tri-County Office on Aging to assist with the transition and coordination.Transportation Services for Residents
We have two facility vans available to transport residents to and from medical appointments.Dining Experience
We offer communal dining and encourage meals in the dining room, although residents can eat in their rooms. A new chef has been hired, introducing new menu items and a scratch kitchen menu. Residents participate in food testing and menu selection. Assistance with meals is provided as needed.Procedure for Resident Complaints or Issues
Responses to resident concerns depend on the nature of the complaint. We aim to promptly address any issues. Residents have the right to file a grievance with our grievance and concern official for prompt follow-up.Communication with Residents' Families
Nursing staff communicate any changes in condition to families. There is much inter-departmental communication. Resident capacity for understanding and preference determine family updates. Quarterly care conferences provide updates and opportunities for families to ask questions. Nursing supervisors on each unit also communicate with families.Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer short-term rehabilitation services and no less than two-week respite stays with a private pay cost for room and board at $475 per day.Pet-friendliness
Yes, we are pet-friendly with proof of up-to-date vaccination status required.Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Residents can receive COVID vaccines, which are recommended but not required, and they require physician approval.Aging in Place
Residents can age in place; however, room or unit changes may occur based on changing needs. For instance, as care needs increase, residents might move to a hospice unit. Long-term care applications are available on our website to join the waiting list. For pricing & availability call (866) 204-9238
