Eagles Trace is a senior living community located in Houston, Texas, offering a range of living options including independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing. The community is designed to provide a "Home for Life" for residents, with a focus on keeping them active, connected, and involved within the community.

Staff and Training

The staff at Eagles Trace is committed to providing excellent care for residents. The staff-to-resident ratio in assisted living is approximately 14 residents to one staff member, with RN oversight for 12 hours a day, seven days a week. Certified nursing aides and medication management aides are available 24/7 to assist with activities of daily living. The community operates on a customer service model, with managerial oversight to ensure high-quality service. Staff members undergo a three- to four-week training period and hold the necessary certifications for their roles.

Resident Safety

Eagles Trace prioritizes resident safety with 24/7 security and a single point of entry to the property. The community is equipped with pull cords and buttons in rooms for residents to alert security or staff if needed.

Move-In Assistance

Residents moving into Eagles Trace from an external location have access to moving resources. The community provides a list of trusted moving companies that are familiar with the property to assist families during the move-in process.

Transportation Services

Transportation is available for residents to attend doctor's appointments, but not for emergency hospital visits. Independent living residents can use the shuttle service for trips to grocery stores and other local destinations.

Dining Experience

The dining experience at Eagles Trace features a menu with 20 to 30 options, including daily specials and an always available menu. The kitchen operates on a from-scratch basis, allowing for custom meal requests. Dining times are typically set for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with some menu items available 24/7.

Handling Complaints

The community has a grievance policy with forms available for residents to submit complaints. Managers are directly accessible to residents for addressing concerns, and a logbook is maintained to monitor the resolution process.

Communication with Resident Families

Eagles Trace communicates with resident families through emails, phone calls, and monthly connection calls. In emergencies, the director of continuing care will reach out to the power of attorney for each resident to inform them of the situation.
