Respite Care
We understand the need for short-term stays, which is why we offer respite care services with a minimum stay requirement of 30 days. This option is charged on a per-day basis, providing flexibility for those in need of temporary care.
Pet Policy
Pets are welcome at Downriver Estates, provided that residents can take care of them independently. A one-time pet fee is required to accommodate your furry companions.
Transportation Services
Our community provides transportation services with a bus available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This service covers a generous 20-mile radius, facilitating trips for shopping, banking, and other errands.
Dining Experience
The dining experience at Downriver Estates is akin to restaurant-style dining. We have a spacious dining room staffed with dining and caregiver staff who serve meals and cater to the residents' dining needs.

Our community is staffed with two nurses, one of whom is our administrator. While we do not have 24/7 nursing staff, we have supervisors and med techs responsible for medication administration, along with caregivers who provide daily assistance to our residents.

A doctor visits the community every Wednesday to provide medical care and consultations, ensuring that our residents' health needs are regularly monitored and addressed.
Communication with Families
Communication with families is primarily conducted through phone calls, ensuring a personal touch and immediate attention to any concerns or updates.

With approximately 50 residents, Downriver Estates offers a more intimate and hands-on care approach, characteristic of an assisted living community.

Residents and their families can address any complaints or concerns directly with the executive director, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
Safety Measures
For the safety and security of our residents, each individual on the assisted living side is provided with a pendant. Additionally, call lights are installed in the bathrooms for immediate assistance when needed.
