Living Options

• Supervised Independent Living (SIL): This unique option is for those who are mostly independent but may need assistance with up to two Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Residents can select from an a la carte menu of services such as medication management, laundry, or showering to add to their living package.
• Assisted Living: Traditional assisted living services are available, with aides on the floor to assist residents. Care is personalized and based on a point system, ensuring residents only pay for the level of care they require.

Amenities and Services

• Residents receive a pendant for emergency response (optional to wear at all times).
• Rent includes three meals a day, basic cable, Wi-Fi, and an optional landline.
• Each apartment comes with a kitchen and a washer and dryer.
• Pet-friendly community for cats and dogs up to 25 pounds, provided residents can care for their pets independently.
• Transportation services include a car for doctor appointments and a van/bus for outings such as shopping trips, concerts, and plays.

Dining Experience

The dining experience at Discovery Village is restaurant-style, offering two special meals each day in addition to an everyday menu. Specials are displayed at the entrance of the dining room, allowing residents to preview their options before being seated.

Community Engagement

• Discovery Village communicates with residents' families through email blasts for important updates and information.
• The community has an open door policy for complaints, encouraging residents to speak with the manager or director of the relevant department, or escalate to the executive director if necessary.

Additional Support

For those in need of short-term stays or respite care, Discovery Village offers services at a daily rate with a minimum stay requirement. The level of care needed will be assessed and added to the cost accordingly.
