Overview of Professional Staff and Training
This is a tenured staff. Wellness Director for example has been here 25+ years. Her assistant Gig is 12 years. Monthly training at an all staff mandatory meeting along with online training annually is in our program.
Resident Safety and Well-being Measures
Depending on whether the resident is independent or assisted, a care plan is customized to meet the needs of the resident to ensure safety and wellbeing of each resident. It starts with an experience team that does the assessment and meets with the team determine the best program for success. Wellness may include frequent checks or a daily check or whatever care plan is in place to help in transition to begin with. We secure and lock the doors at 5pm and the staff is 24 hrs awake. Residents may come and go through side door autolocking exit doors. This ensures no door is left open after hours. If they are competent, they are given a side door key to come and go as they please. In order to gain access, front door remains locked after hours and can only be unlocked by a caregiver or med tech after hours. We like the concept of eyes on as much as possible but have to respect privacy. We will only check on the resident if there is a request to do in their care plan, by the residents request or because of health care concerns. The residents rights come first.
Resources and Support Services for Residents
Orientation is day of move-in or within 24hrs. We acclimate the resident by introducing as many residents to them as possible so they feel welcomed. Activities Director will introduce herself the next day to get to know the resident and get them engaged quickly. Once a month a very quaint meet the new resident social helps the new resident feel comfortable while transitioning.
Transportation Services
Monday thru Wed is transportation to doctor visits. Thursday and Fridays are group shopping trips like Walmart, Dollar store, Khols.
