Financial Arrangements

Independent Living

*Second occupant fee for apartment homes is $865 and $846 for townhomes.

The entrance fee is a fixed amount and paid in advance. No adjustments or reassessments can be made once you have become a resident. The basic cost of residence at Deerfield consists of the entrance fee and a monthly service fee. An additional 5% will be added to the entrance fee for premium residences due to location and view. All other costs are incurred by choice. The monthly service fees are guaranteed until June 30, 2024.

Underground parking stalls are $70.00 per month upon availability.

No charge for surface parking.

Reservation Deposit

Ten percent (10%) of the entrance fee for the residence selected is due upon execution of the reservation agreement.

Entrance Fee Plans

Entrance Fee Options

Deerfield offers residents two entrance fee options with liberal refund policies. The first plan is the Traditional Plan and the second plan is the Capital Return Plan. The entrance fee is a fixed amount and paid in advance. No adjustments or reassessments can be made once you have become a resident. The basic cost of residence at Deerfield consists of the entrance fee and a monthly service fee. All other costs are incurred by choice. Entrance fees are subject to change without notice. The monthly service fees are guaranteed until June 30, 2024.

Traditional Plan

Deerfield residents selecting the Traditional entrance fee plan will receive a prorated refund upon termination of the resident’s agreement only if termination occurs within fifty (50) months of initial occupancy by resident at Deerfield. If this agreement is terminated during the first ninety (90) days immediately following occupancy, Deerfield will make a full refund of the entrance fee. If termination of resident’s agreement occurs after the first ninety (90) days of occupancy by resident, (the trial period) and prior to the end of the fiftieth month of occupancy, the amount of the refund due to resident or resident’s estate will be the entrance fee paid less a one percent (1%) processing fee and less an additional two percent (2%) per month for each month of occupancy at Deerfield by resident.

Capital Return Plan

Deerfield residents selecting the Capital Return entrance fee plan will have 90% of the fee returned within 90 days of moving out of independent living. This arrangement is unique to Immanuel Communities as there is not the requirement of reselling the residence before entrance fees can be refunded. No matter how long one resides at Deerfield, this guaranteed and timely return of assets allows the resident or the resident’s beneficiaries, to plan for future decisions.

How to make a reservation

• A one-time $5,000 non-refundable assisted living community fee is due upon execution of the agreement (if resident has previously paid this fee to any Immanuel community this fee is automatically waived).
• Pro-rated first month’s rent is due upon move in.

The monthly service fees are guaranteed until June 30, 2024.

Our facility is staffed with a range of healthcare professionals including Nursing Administrators, Directors of Nursing, Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA). Each member of our staff undergoes rigorous training specific to their role, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide the highest standard of care to our residents.

Safety and Well-being Measures

We implement comprehensive measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. These include regular health assessments, emergency response protocols, and continuous staff training in the latest healthcare practices.

Transition Support Services

To aid residents' transition into our community, we offer a mentor program. This program pairs new residents with members of our resident committee, who provide a warm welcome and assistance in acclimating to the community.

Transportation Services

We provide transportation services for residents to attend medical appointments free of charge, ensuring they have access to necessary healthcare without the stress of arranging transport.

Dining Experience

Our dining options include a main dining room and a Bistro, offering residents a variety of meal choices in a comfortable and social setting.

Resident Complaint and Issue Resolution

Residents can directly address any complaints or issues with our Executive Director. Additionally, we have several committees that offer residents a platform to voice their concerns and suggestions.

Communication with Residents' Families

We maintain open and frequent communication with residents' families, providing daily updates or as needed. Families have direct access to our medical and management teams, ensuring they are fully informed about their loved ones' well-being.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Currently, we do not offer short-term or respite stays.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, our community is pet-friendly, recognizing the importance of pets in our residents' lives.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Residents have access to Covid and flu vaccinations within the community, ensuring their health and safety against these viruses.

Aging in Place

Our community supports residents' ability to age in place, with no waitlist for Independent Living. However, there is a waitlist for Assisted Living, ensuring we can provide the necessary level of care as residents' needs evolve.
