- Encouraging group dining and resident engagement once they move in.
- Encouraging family engagement for meals and activities.
- Managers play a role in welcoming new residents and have required follow-ups in the first 30 days to ensure satisfaction and address any issues early.
Transportation Services
- Utilizing New Freedom Volunteer Drives and WexExpress.
- We have a bus and a van for occasional medical appointment transport and primarily use the bus for resident trips.
Dining Experience
- We offer restaurant-style dining.
- Residents have menu books at their table for meals with today’s choices and the alternative menu, providing plenty to choose from.
- In our memory support, we modify ordering by bringing plates of today's specials for residents to view, and verbally explaining the meals to assist in their choice-making.
Complaint or Issue Resolution Process
- Publicly visible posters of our grievance policy around the community.
- The Executive Director reviews the grievance policy with new residents.
- Staff receive orientation about the policy upon hire and it is included in their handbooks.
