Overview on the Types of Professionals on Our Staff and the Training They Undergo
We employ PCA (Personal Care Assistants) and Medication Aides, for whom we provide training. We also have CNA (Certified Nurse Assistants) who have completed an approved course of training and hold a current license. All the training is conducted according to state requirements.
Measures to Ensure the Safety and Well-being of Our Residents
Our facility is a Special Care Unit (SCU) which requires a locked facility. Staff are trained on the special needs of dementia residents, particularly related to falls, care, elopements, and behaviors. This training is provided prior to staff working on the floor with residents.

There are support groups within the community, and we offer guidance and support at the facility.

Yes, we do offer transportation services for residents.

We have a main dining area where we encourage residents to come. Meals are approved by a licensed dietician and prepared according to state regulations for NC.

We have a Grievance / Concern process to follow when an issue is brought to staff. It is the responsibility of the Executive Director to find a solution.

We do an initial care plan and update the families in the event of any change of condition, following guidelines according to local DSS/State requirements.
