Compass is an all-inclusive level of care with companion suites renting at $9,675 and studios at $10,375 per month.

Overview of Professional Staff and Training

We have a team of Wellness nurses that are RN's and LPN's. We are fully staffed 24/7/365 with personal care associates (PCA's) who are licensed CNA's and HHA's. All PCA's require up to date licensure with the state and are required to go through our company's training as well. The general orientation training takes two full days, then these aids train with our lead aids on the floor for a couple of weeks before taking on their own assignment. All staff in our memory care neighborhood also undergo the Certified Dementia Practitioner training as well.

Safety and Well-Being Measures

We have 10 years worth of standard protocols, elopement tests and drills, daily census reports, etc. to ensure the safety of our residents. 24/7 staff and 24/7 nurses on call help us achieve patient safety as well. There are between eight and 12 activities per day for residents to choose to participate in, including cooking classes, concerts, exercise classes, pop up shops, etc. We reserve our van every Wednesday for shopping and entertainment trips, as well as one Monday every month to head over to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

Transition Support Services

I serve as the Director of Community Relations and Move-in Coordinator, so I facilitate the transition to our community for the most part. We also have an ambassador program for new residents to meet with current residents.

Transportation Services

Yes, Tuesdays and Thursdays for medical appointments within a 10-mile radius. Mondays and Wednesdays for fun outings and shopping trips.

Dining Experience

Three meals per day are included for all residents. We follow a Mediterranean Diet that includes between two and three options for lunch and dinner. We also have an "always available" menu for residents to order off of if they do not like the meal options. We also have a program, "Brain Healthy Cooking" which involves teaching residents healthy diets and foods through cooking classes with our head chef.

Resident Complaints and Issues

They typically meet directly with one of the managers depending on what the complaint involves. If it is a complaint involving maintenance, it would be our Director of Building & Grounds. Nursing complaints typically go to both the Resident Care Director and the Executive Director. Nicole Leone is our Executive Director and she is always available to meet with residents and families as am I.

Cost of Living

In the assisted living neighborhood, the pricing ranges from $6,775 to $9,775 depending on the apartment type and care they require. Our Compass Memory Support Neighborhood has two different apartments; companion suites at $9,675 and studios at $10,375. These are all monthly rates.

Communication with Resident's Families

We have an open door policy. Family meetings are a routine part of every day. Families are always more than welcome to call me or Nicole directly on our personal cell phones. We have 30-day reassessments and touch bases with families every week during their first month. Reassessments then occur every six months or as needed.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Yes, we offer short-term trial stays! Respite stays range from $250-$300 per day for studio apartments depending on their care level. In one bedroom apartments, the daily rate ranges from $300-$350. In our memory care community, respite stays are rare but have been done before. They range between $350-$400 per day.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes. We allow residents to bring a cat or dog, as long as they are able to care for their pet independently. There is a one time fee of $750. Currently, we have a waitlist in our Compass Memory Support Neighborhood. We have one one bedroom and one studio available in our Traditional Assisted Living Neighborhood.
