Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

[Krista Dow] Our clinical team consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medication Aides, and Caregivers who are trained initially and ongoing to care for the appropriate needs of our residents.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

[Krista Dow] We are regulated by the State of Minnesota, and follow all safety protocol and best practices with our residents.

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

[Krista Dow] What specific services are you seeking? There are many available services we refer residents to, every person's needs are unique.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

[Krista Dow] We have a community bus for trips to grocery, dining, and other events. For personal appointments, we can provide a list of 3rd party vendors that may be available for residents to reach out to.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

[Krista Dow] We offer an excellent dining experience, our excellent meals are served in a beautiful room which overlooks wetlands. We offer three meals a day which include a main option or a la carte options if residents do not want the main option. What additional information are you interested in?

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

[Krista Dow] Most residents will either stop by staff offices to let us know if there is an issue or ask to have a staff member come to their apartment to speak with them. We do also have a formal complaint process, should a resident have a grievance.

What is the cost of living in your community?

[Krista Dow] That varies by apartment type, care level (independent, assisted, or memory), along with what services are added; again, this is unique.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

[Krista Dow] We communicate in a variety of ways. We have an open door policy for families to drop in, they are also welcome to schedule a meeting/care conference if there are things they want to discuss, if a resident is receiving health services if we are noticing a change or something happens we will call and update, if a resident is enrolled in our third party primary care there is an online portal where families can see any messages that doctor sends us or we send them and the family can message as well.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

[Krista Dow] Yes, this is available with a 3-week minimum stay, starting at $300/day (there could be additional costs depending on the care level and undesignated tasks).

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

[Krista Dow] We are, but there are restrictions so we would want to talk through this.

Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

[Krista Dow] It depends on the care level and room type. Please let me know what you are seeking and I can share the availability in greater detail.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

[Krista Dow] Yes, every fall we host a vaccine clinic and if there is enough interest we have done a Spring one some years as well. The pharmacy we use will also run immunization records and can provide other vaccines that a resident is due for as well. The consent forms we are provided from the pharmacy for the clinics will list all the vaccines the resident is due for and they can opt to get them all, select ones they would like, or opt to not receive them.

Are residents able to age in place?

[Krista Dow] Yes, most often we can support our residents through the end of life, unless they choose or require a care level beyond what our community would offer (for example, having a health condition that is desired to support that required a doctor on site to administer medications on demand).
