Overview of Our Staff and Training
Our independent living community is staffed with dedicated professionals across various departments. We do not have medical staff on-site. Our Resident Services team is available at the front desk 24 hours a day to assist residents. Additionally, we have housekeeping, maintenance, dining, and administration staff to ensure a comfortable and well-maintained living environment for our residents.
Safety and Well-being Measures
To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, we have front desk staff available 24/7 for emergencies. Our apartments are equipped with pull cords that alert the front desk in case of an emergency. We also conduct after-dinner checks on residents who have not swiped their meal card that day, ensuring everyone is accounted for and safe.
Transition Support Services
We offer resources and support services to aid residents' transition into our community. This includes providing a list of Senior Move Managers and moving companies. New residents are assigned a buddy to help them acclimate to their new home and community life.
Transportation Services
Our community offers transportation services for scheduled doctor’s appointments within a 25-mile radius and to local shopping in Clifton Park 5 days a week, facilitating access to essential services and amenities.
Dining Experience
We boast 2 restaurants within our community. A meal plan is included in the rental price, giving each resident $570 a month to spend on food as they wish, which is roughly equivalent to one large meal per day. Take-out and delivery options are also available for added convenience.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Residents can directly contact the supervisor of the relevant department or our Executive Director to address any complaints or issues. Additionally, we have an active Resident Association that plays a role in community governance.
Communication with Residents' Families
As an independent living community, we do not have regular care plans or scheduled meetings with families. However, we maintain open lines of communication and welcome family members to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding their loved ones.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not offer respite stays or have the availability for short-term rentals at this time.
Pet Policy
Our community is pet-friendly, allowing pets under 35lbs with a $15/month pet fee.
Waitlist Information
We have a waitlist for some floor plans, while others are currently available.
Vaccination Services
Residents are able to receive Covid and flu vaccinations within the community, promoting health and well-being.
Aging in Place
Residents may age in place depending on their situation. While we do not provide personal care services directly, residents can hire personal care aides, visiting nurses, or home care through outside agencies as needed.
