Understanding the Cost of Living in Our Community
The cost of living in our community is influenced by various factors, making it a complex question to answer without specific details. The size of the apartment is a significant determinant of rental costs, with options ranging from a studio to a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. To provide you with an accurate rent quote, it would be helpful to know the size of the apartment you are interested in.
Additionally, the level of care and medication management are crucial considerations that affect pricing. These levels are established through a free RN assessment, which is non-committal but highly recommended. The assessment helps determine the exact care requirements and the costs involved.
Standard charges include $60/month for cable and wi-fi. There are also ancillary charges for optional services such as hair salon visits or meals for guests. These charges apply only if you use the services.
We can delve into the pricing details more thoroughly once we understand your specific needs and preferences. Please note that there is also a one-time move-in coordination fee of $5,600.

Overview of Staff and Training
We have a wide range of professionals on our team, from Certified Nursing Assistants to Registered Nurses, activity professionals, Alzheimer’s and Dementia Professionals, as well as Physical therapists and occupational therapists that we partner with. Our Executive Director has been here for 13 years and has undergone extensive training. All staff members, from dishwashers to the executive director, participate in ongoing training and education that exceeds state standards.
Safety and Well-Being Measures
Each resident is given an “emergency pendant” to alert nursing staff when assistance is needed. We also have the “I’m OK” program to check on residents at least 3x per day, and staff are available 24/7. After 8pm, the front doors lock and can only be entered through if a staff member opens it.
Resources for Transitioning Residents
New residents can be partnered with a staff member for initial check-ins and introductions to foster friendships. A handbook with useful information and a list of community contacts is provided. Our dining staff assists with seating arrangements to encourage companionship.
Transportation Services
We have a driver on staff Monday – Friday for medical appointments and outings. Transportation is on a first-come, first-serve basis and is a courtesy service.
Dining Experience
We offer three meals a day with two seatings for each meal, daily specials, a soup of the day, and an “always available” menu. Fresh baked cookies, ice cream, and a variety of snacks are available throughout the day. Our ice cream parlor and pub offer additional socializing opportunities.
Addressing Complaints and Issues
Residents are encouraged to bring issues to the head of the relevant department. If unresolved, the Executive Director is available to listen and find a solution.
Communication with Residents' Families
Communication preferences vary, and we accommodate requests for emergency-only contact or regular updates. We hold family meetings every 120 days and use social media and TSO life to keep families informed.
Short-Term or Respite Stays
We offer respite stays with a 30 day minimum and a 90 day maximum. Costs depend on apartment size and care needed, with a $25/day respite fee that is waived if the resident becomes permanent.
Pet-Friendly Community
We welcome pets after ensuring they have proper paperwork and vaccinations.
Covid and Flu Vaccinations
We hold annual flu and covid clinics and can also arrange for vaccinations at local pharmacies.
Aging in Place
Residents can age in place with various levels of care available, including physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, palliative care, hospice care, and a memory care neighborhood.
The only waitlist we currently have is for our 2 bedroom 2 bathroom units.
