Overview of Staff Professionals and Training
We employ Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) and Certified Residential Medication Aides (CRMA’s) for direct care of the residents on Clark's Terrace. The Director is also a Registered Nurse (RN). Our direct care staff receive ongoing training and have recently participated in a “Skills Fair” organized by the Director.Safety and Well-being Measures for Residents
Each resident studio is equipped with a pull cord in the bed area and bathroom, as well as a bracelet/pendant to wear. Our staffing is available 24/7 and staff checks on residents repeatedly during day and night. Additionally, our reception is staffed 24/7, and anyone entering the community must state their business and sign in before entering.Resources and Support for Residents' Transition
We have a resident-run hospitality committee that welcomes each new resident. Moreover, our staff and residents are very friendly and welcoming. Clark's Terrace has almost a “dorm” sensibility, and many residents keep their doors open during the day, creating a very social and engaging atmosphere.Transportation Services for Residents
Yes, for assisted living, we provide medical transportation.Dining Experience
Clark's Terrace has its own dining room where residents can receive three meals each day. There is also a Country Kitchen from which snacks, hot and cold beverages are available. Lunch is the larger meal of the day with two entrees available. Clark's Terrace residents can also dine in our Bistro or Main Dining Room if they choose.Complaint or Issue Resolution Process
If there is any concern or issue, our director, Jason Vaughn, would be happy to discuss them with either you or the resident and make changes whenever possible. Our staff and residents are generally very happy here, so we don’t anticipate many issues.Policy on Communication with Residents' Families
There is open communication with the Director as well as his assistant, Vicki, should he not be available. Our physician visits weekly, and any updates are shared with the resident/family as they occur. Additionally, we have a family portal on our website where more general updates and changes are shared.Short-term or Respite Stays
I’m sorry, but we do not offer stays for any less than three months.Pet Policy
Pets are only allowed in Independent Living. We cannot accommodate pets on Clark’s Terrace.Waitlist Status
Currently, we do not have a waitlist for Clark’s Terrace market rate apartments, but we do have a substantial waitlist for MaineCare apartments.Covid and Flu Vaccinations
We provide flu and Covid vaccinations in the fall and Covid boosters in the spring.Aging in Place
Assisted living is the highest level of care we offer. We have strong relationships with other nursing and memory care communities and will assist with placement if it ever comes to that. A large majority of our residents do not move on to a higher level of care. End-of-life care is also available.Availability
