Overview on the Types of Professionals on Staff and Their Training
We have a Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), Nurse Manager, Charge Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). They are all trained through the facility based on their outside experience.Measures in Place to Ensure Safety and Well-being of Residents
We have care plans put in place 48 hours after the resident is admitted. Each resident has a call light in their room if they need anything. The charge nurses and CNAs perform routine checks throughout the day.Resources and Support Services for Residents' Transition into the Community
Yes, we are partnered with the Georgia Department of Community Health, which offers these community services. The social worker helps the resident with getting started if needed.Transportation Services for Residents
Yes, transportation services are available through their insurance.Dining Experience
If the resident chooses to go to the dining room, we set their tables, bring their silverware, and beverages, and serve their desired meals from the menu. There will always be designated CNAs and nurses in the dining room to offer assistance and ensure safety. We open our dining room for breakfast (7:30 am), lunch (12:30 pm), and dinner (5:45 pm), plus snacks in between times.Process for Addressing Resident Complaints or Issues
If a resident has a complaint, they can either tell someone in the hall or directly inform the social worker. The social worker then documents and reports it to the administrator and the DON. We also offer resident council meetings each month for all residents.Policy on Communication with Residents' Families
Residents' families can call to get an update on their loved one at any time, as long as they are on the patient’s face sheet. We contact the resident’s primary family member immediately if there is a change of condition with the resident.Short-term or Respite Stays
Costs depend on insurance and payment plans, and every resident's situation is different. We can set up a financial meeting if needed.Pet-friendly Policy
Yes, we are a pet-friendly community. However, pets can only visit and cannot reside with the resident.Covid and Flu Vaccinations
Residents are able to get Covid and flu vaccinations within the community, as we offer these shots in-house.Aging in Place
