Training and Staff
Our facility offers ongoing training, as well as in-service for our staff here at the Carolina Inn. In-house, we have LPN's, CNAs, and Med Techs.
Resident Safety
As our residents' safety is our number one concern, we conduct two-hour checks on each resident daily. Additionally, at the time of admission, our residents receive a call pendant, so they can notify the staff if they need assistance.
Visitor and Guest Services
We have a concierge who assists visitors and guests upon entering our facility. All guests and visitors must sign in and undergo a temperature check.
Transportation
We offer transportation to and from doctor's appointments in the area for our residents. Our staff will also keep records of scheduled appointments.
Dining Experience
The dining experience here at Carolina Inn is restaurant-style for our residents. They are able to join other residents in our Dining Room, which has two separate locations (1st floor and 3rd floor), or they may have their meals delivered to their room. We have a large dietary staff that will assist the residents with making their meal selections by visiting their rooms and completing a menu with each resident.
Lifestyle Enrichment
The Carolina Inn Lifestyle Enrichment team is here to assist our residents with transitioning into Assisted Living, which includes activities, a social atmosphere, and one-on-one support.
Complaints and Feedback
Any complaints submitted by a resident or family will be addressed by our facilities Director.
Communication
Communication between our staff and family members is essential. The point of contact will have access to the resident's floor nurse. Additionally, we conduct 60-day assessments on our residents to keep their families updated on their loved one's care.
Respite Stays
We offer respite stays here at the Carolina Inn with a one-month minimum. The pricing for a respite stay would be the original pricing in full for that month, including the level of care.
Pet Policy
We are a pet-friendly community; our residents are allowed to have pets at no additional cost. We do have some breed restrictions and a weight limit of 35 lbs.
Vaccinations
We offer flu and pneumococcal vaccinations for our residents. However, we do not offer the COVID vaccine at our facility.
Aging in Place Policy
We have an Aging in Place policy here at the Carolina Inn. As residents age in place, medical needs and conditions may increase in acuity. At times when the level of care intensifies, the best solution may be to relocate the resident to an alternate floor or transfer them to a skilled nursing center. The Carolina Inn Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team will make these decisions with the resident's family.
