Our Staff
Our staff is made up of a licensed director, nurse, certified caregivers, medication tecs, culinary trained chef to oversee all dining aspects. As far as training, staff must hold department-appropriate credentials and we provide classes in a variety of areas to continually keep our staff sharp.Staffing and Security
We have 24-hour staffing available to our residents with a push of a button. Our front desk is staffed with extended hours, logging check-ins and check-outs for all visitors and residents, and our halls have security cameras.Community and Activities
Our property has a group of residents that welcome new residents and our activity director encourages new residents to participate in activities on the property. We hold a meet and greet once a month as well as happy hour events on Fridays.Transportation
Transportation is provided for medical appointments within a 10-mile radius of the property, in addition to other scheduled transportation services.Dining
Our dining room is open from 7 am to 6 pm every day. Breakfast is available all day in addition to an anytime menu and a special each meal time.Communication
Our executive director has an open-door policy and is happy to meet with a resident to address any issues or complaints. Should she be in a meeting or have a pressing issue, she is happy to schedule a time to meet when it works for all parties. Emails are also welcome as a form of communication. Our front desk is happy to help facilitate scheduling a meeting with our director if requested.Privacy and Family Communication
Each resident has different scenarios as far as how we communicate with family. Our residents have the right to privacy, so just because a family member wants information about their loved one, we need approval from the resident to share any information. If a power of attorney is in play, then we communicate with that designated person and rely on them to provide information to the rest of the family or friends.Respite Stays
We offer respite stays with a minimum stay of 14 days at $250 a day.Pet Policy
We are a pet-friendly community. Pets are welcome as long as they do not pose a threat or danger to our residents or staff.Availability
We do have some apartments available depending on when you are looking to move in.Healthcare Services
We bring in a third-party company to do a flu clinic which our residents must sign up to participate in should they want to. At this time we are not offering Covid vaccination services.Housing Options
Our independent apartments are in a different building from our assisted living apartments. Should a resident need any services by a caregiver, they would need to move into our assisted living building.Worry-Free Lifestyle
Here at Canyon Winds we offer a worry-free lifestyle for our residents and their families. Our residents enjoy meeting new people with common life experiences and making new friends.
Inclusive Rates
Our rates include a chef-prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Housekeeping services are provided along with personal and linen laundry. Basic cable and wifi are included, as are all utilities except telephone.
Activity Program
A fun-filled, busy activity program is offered, affording the opportunity to learn new activities or to continue long-term interests.
24-Hour Care
Our residents love the convenience of our 24-hour care staff, medication management and administration, along with a licensed nurse, Med-Techs, and a personal call pendant.
