Overview of Professional Staff and Training

Our professional staff include caregivers who work under the direction of our Director of Healthcare Services, an RN. These caregivers undergo medical training by an RN, and they shadow experienced staff as part of their mentorship. When they feel confident, they start working independently. Notably, our caregivers do not have to be certified nursing assistants (CNAs).

Measures for Resident Safety and Well-being

We have several measures in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. For example, we have a grievance procedure allowing residents to report any complaints or issues promptly to myself or the nurse. We aim to resolve these issues as swiftly as possible.

Resources and Support Services for Community Transition

We offer various resources and support services to aid residents' transition into the community. For example, we assist in coordinating with external transportation services for residents' appointments.

Transportation Services

We provide a community bus for outings within the community. Additionally, families or residents can set up transportation for doctor's appointments through Tri-cap, a transportation company.

Dining Experience

We offer three meals daily, prepared in our main kitchen that we share with the nursing home side. The meals are delivered to us in warmers, temperature-checked, plated, and served by our staff.

Process for Addressing Complaints or Issues

If a resident has a complaint or issue, they can come directly to myself or the nurse. If they relay their concern to an aide, the aide directs them to us. We aim to meet with them and resolve their issue as soon as possible.

Communication with Resident's Families

We maintain open lines of communication with residents' families. We update them on any changes in condition, falls, medications, etc., via calls or emails. Additionally, we send email blasts for community news or events.

We do not accept pets in our community.

Availability of Vaccinations

Residents can receive Covid and flu vaccinations through our pharmacy.

Aging in Place Policy

Residents can age in place as long as they require assistance from only one aide. We do not accommodate two-person transfers, easy stands, or Hoyer lifts. If more assistance is needed, we will work with the family for a suitable move.

Available Accommodations

As of today, we have open private pay options, including a middle-size studio apartment and a one-bedroom apartment. Both units need to be cleaned after recent vacancies.
