Our staff at the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) includes care attendants, certified nursing aids, licensed vocational nurses (LVN), and registered nurses (RN). Each professional undergoes rigorous training specific to their role, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide care in assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing settings.

Safety and Well-being Measures

Westminster is staffed 24 hours a day, with a dedicated security team that conducts rounds at night to ensure the safety of our residents and staff.

Transition Support Services

We offer a referral base to assist residents with their transition, including movers, house managers, and estate planners.

Transportation Services

Transportation services are available for our residents to facilitate their mobility and independence.

Dining Experience

Residents are allocated $190 per month for lunch or dinner, included in their monthly payment. Additionally, a continental breakfast is provided each morning in the Bistro at no extra charge.

Resident Complaints and Issues

Our leadership team is tasked with addressing any complaints or issues before involving the Executive Director, who maintains an open-door policy.

Overview of Senior Living Community

The senior living community in question offers a range of care options, including assisted living and memory care. The community is relatively small, with 30 apartments available for assisted living, which contributes to a more intimate and personalized living experience. However, this also means that there is often a waitlist for entry, which can vary in length from a few months to about a year.

Accommodations and Pricing

The community provides all-inclusive rates for its accommodations, which means that residents pay a single rate that covers all services and care. The community offers both studio and one-bedroom apartments, with the rates reflecting the market value and comparing to other communities in the area. The rates are subject to change, but increases are not solely due to inflation but also due to market value adjustments.

Respite Care

Respite care is available for both memory care and assisted living. The minimum stay for respite care in assisted living is 30 days, while in memory care, it is two weeks.

Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed in the memory care and assisted living areas of the community.

Moving Assistance

While the community does not partner with any moving companies, they can assist residents by providing information and referrals to local movers in the area.

Transportation Services

Transportation is provided for residents, including trips to and from doctor's appointments and for community activities.

Dining Experience

The dining experience in assisted living is restaurant-style, with menus prepared the day before. Residents have a choice between two entrees for lunch and dinner, with the option to request lighter meals or specific items like a bowl of cereal. Breakfast is typically made to order.

Staffing and Care

In memory care, there is one nurse available seven days a week during the day, with a nurse on call at night. There are also two staff members during the day and one at night. In assisted living, the staff includes a mix of certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and other caregivers. A medical director is on staff, and his nurse practitioner makes rounds twice a week.

Safety and Security

For resident safety, the community provides pendants that can be used to call for assistance from anywhere on the campus. Additionally, there is a security guard on duty at night.

Resident Grievances and Communication

If residents have complaints, there is a grievance procedure in place. They can also communicate directly with a nursing administrator. The community keeps families informed through newsletters, emails, phone calls, and other necessary means of communication.
