Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

All of our Staff, from Team Leaders to dining and care partners undergo a lengthy training process, some completed in house provided by the state and our Regional team. We train on medication management, incontinence care, bathing, showering, escorts and we follow a centered care approach for each individual resident depending on their needs.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

Each Resident receives an emergency pendant upon move in and we do physical checks on each Resident throughout the day and night. We also have cameras on the outside of our facility that allow us to monitor the main entrance/exit and all those who enter or leave our community. Our team also does a facility check throughout the shift.

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

We have a wonderful Ambassador program, where we not only as team but have several Residents that we connect to our new residents become familiar with our community. Team leads ensure they are escorting, inviting and monitoring our new residents and able to document their transition.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

We do. We have transportation several days a week for Dr. appointments, outings, grocery shopping and emergency appointments.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

Blossom Vale has a beautiful dining room with surrounding windows that allow in natural sunlight. Residents have a wide variety of choices to choose from during each meal. We also offer an anytime dining menu. I would be happy to send you a menu!

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

Residents are able to connect with each department leader, our Executive Director or Regional Team. Upon move in, family is given all contact information for each department and Regional Team.

What is the cost of living in your community?

Cost of living varies depending on apartment size. We offer Studio apartment homes, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartment homes in addition to their care level if they have one. Some Residents may be independent of care services. I would be happy to send you a Blossom Vale brochure.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

Families are notified via phone when it concerns their loved one's well-being, or by email if the family approves of sensitive information being shared that way. We also notify the primary care provider of any changes to our Residents' health.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

Yes, we do. The cost is $250 per day with a minimum of 30 days.

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

Yes, we are!

Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

We have a waitlist for our Studio apartment homes as they are very popular.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

We hold a flu vaccination clinic every year for our Residents. We did offer a COVID vaccination in the previous years but currently most of our Residents typically go to their primary care provider.

Are residents able to age in place?

Yes, Residents are able to age in place at Blossom Vale with the exception of behavioral issues like wandering, noncompliant with care, or being a danger to themselves or others.
