Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

We do have a small waiting list in our Independent Living and Assisted Living apartments. We do have a two bedroom, two bath Villa available currently with immediate occupancy.

Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

Our Staff currently consists of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists, RN’S, LPNS, QMA’S, CNA’S, Director of Health Services, Assistant Director of Health Services, Life Enrichment Team including Certified Activities Director, Director of Food Services, Dietary Team including Chefs and Dietary Aides, Social Worker, Licensed Administrator, Two Nurse Practitioners, Assisted Living Director, Memory Care Director and much more. Every employee is assigned Dementia training, HIPAA training and any other training that would be required for their current position.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

Residents in our Health Center, Assisted Living and Independent Living have call light systems. Every Resident has a call light within reach when they are in their rooms/bathrooms. We also have a pendent/bracelet system available in our Assisted Living/Independent Living areas that Residents use to get help at the push of a button. Our Memory Care unit is secured. All our staff are trained to assist with emergencies as well.

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

We provide a welcome book in each Residents room upon admission. Sections include Campus Services, Resident Activities including a listing of signature events. A section with Frequently asked questions; A List of the Campus Leadership Team, along with their title and what they are responsible for. Campus Services are reviewed along with the costs for the services. Information about the Trilogy Dining Experience. We also offer a 5-day welcome, one of our campus managers is assigned to welcome and visit with every new Resident for the first 5 days of their stay. We discuss how things in the room work, where to find things here at the campus. Any questions or concerns they have regarding their stay. We then follow up to make sure that all concerns have been addressed and that Residents are comfortable and happy with the Campus.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

Yes, we do offer transportation services. $42.00 for a round trip 0-49 miles.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

We offer Restaurant Style dining in our Health Center, Independent/Assisted Living Dining rooms. Family Style Dining is offered in our Memory Care Units. Our menu’s offer many choices of meals including Breakfast specials. The specials include quiche, biscuits/gravy, and fruit smoothies just to name a few. Our Breakfast is made to order. Residents can order breakfast ahead or choose what they feel like having each morning. We offer Chef’s Circle once a month. This program is offered for Residents to talk directly to the Chef and voice their preferences. Residents also can share their own recipes from home with the Chef so that others can enjoy their favorites.

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

Residents, Family members or friends can approach any staff member to assist them should they have a concern. We have a special program to address any concerns our Residents, families or friends may voice. A computer-generated concern form is completed. This takes each issue directly to the Executive Director and our Corporate office. The Executive Director and the Social Worker address each concern and will direct the concern to each individual department for them to address. After the Department manager has addressed each concern, this is then reviewed by the ED and Social Worker and follow up with the Family/Resident or Friend to make sure every issue has been resolved to the Residents satisfaction.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

If there is a change in our Residents condition, be it a condition change or injury the nurse will immediately notify the physician and the family. If we call EMS to transport the Resident to the hospital, we will notify the family of this also. We have meetings with Residents and family called Resident First. The Resident, Family and responsible party are invited to attend. We also invite other disciplines involved in the Residents care such as Therapy, Dietary, Activities, Nursing, Social Workers. These meetings are scheduled throughout the day. We are also able to complete these meetings with family if you are unable to attend in person, we can schedule a conference call so that everyone knows all that is going on and the plan for the Residents care. These meetings are scheduled soon after admission so that we have a smooth transition into the campus and throughout the stay so that the discharge planning is also a smooth transition back to the community.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

We do offer Respite Care. A Respite Care stay will usually last 30 days or less. Respite Care stay is $359.00 per day in a private room, $309.00 in a companion room.

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

Yes, we love to have pet visits here at the campus. Pets are allowed to reside along with their family members in our Assisted Living, Independent Living apartments and villas. If the Resident can care for their pet, then the pet will be able to stay on the campus.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

Yes, these vaccines are available here at the Campus.

Are residents able to age in place?

Blair Ridge offers a full continuum of care. Villas, Independent Living apartments, Assisted Living, Health Center, and Memory Care. Many Residents move from one level of care to the other here at the Campus. Sometimes we will have a couple move into the campus and one will live in Independent or Assisted Living and the other in our Memory Care or other area of the campus. The ability to age in place is very important to our Residents, their families, and our staff. We do have a small waiting list in our Independent Living and Assisted Living apartments. We do have a two bedroom, two bath Villa available currently with immediate occupancy.
