Overview of Staff and Training

We have a variety of professionals on our staff, including RNs, Med Techs, CNAs, and PCAs who service supportive care residents. All licenses and certifications are validated before they start working with residents. Additionally, everyone is CPR certified. We provide monthly training and in-services on topics such as infection control and quality measures.

Safety and Well-being Measures

Greystone is locked from the outside at certain times each night to ensure security. Residents can exit, but unauthorized individuals cannot enter. The town of Bermuda Run is secured with its own gate before accessing Bermuda Village. Skilled Nursing allows open visitation, enabling visitors to come and go at any time.

Support for Resident Transition

Depending on needs, we can assist families by referring them to movers, therapy services, and our home call PCP program.

Transportation Services

Medical transportation is included at no additional cost. Private valet services are available for an additional fee, with pricing varying based on services provided.

Dining Experience

Supportive Care offers a weekly cycle menu with an alternate menu available for modifications. Dining is also permitted in our main clubhouse dining room with additional fees applying.

Complaint or Issue Process

Complaints or issues are generally recommended to be addressed with the supervisor on duty. Medical complaints are escalated to the RN. Non-medical complaints are escalated to the Director of Home Care. Further escalation is done to the Administrator or Executive Director as needed.

Communication with Families

We use an email and portal system for large group announcements. In emergencies, we contact the first emergency contact. If unavailable, we proceed down the contact list until someone is reached. It then becomes that person's responsibility to update others. Families have contact numbers for the Supportive Care department and can call or text for updates or concerns.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer 30-day respite stays in Greystone and Skilled Nursing based on room availability. The regular monthly service fee applies, with no markup or discount for short-term stays.

Pet Policy

Residents in Supportive Care cannot have pets, but pet visitors with up-to-date vaccination records are welcome.

Vaccination Clinics

We schedule periodic clinics for Covid and flu vaccinations, with notifications sent out via email to opt in.

Aging in Place

Our goal is for residents to age in place. However, some may need a higher level of care and move to our Skilled Nursing unit. Currently, we do not have Memory Care or a secured unit, so those needs would require an off-campus move.
