Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

We have availability in both levels at our community. We have studios and one bedrooms in assisted living and studios in our memory care.

Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

If this is for clinical, we have LPN’s and Med Techs in our community and caregivers. All employees go through a core training program that takes 3 to 4 days learning the Belmont Way. Each year, we do a two day dementia training class that all of our staff must attend. We do back and lift training each year as well as fire safety. Every other year, we do CPR. We have HealthPro Heritage in-house for PT, OT and Speech Therapy with a doctor’s order.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

The front desk is manned from 8 to 8 each day. All of our doors are alarmed and the memory care is a locked community. Each room has a pull cord for the resident to use should they need our assistance and we check on them every couple of hours. We have a program called Circle of Friends for those with mild to moderate cognitive impairment. It is 7 days a week from 9:30 to lunch time and then starts up at 1:30 and runs until dinner time. Here is a link for this program. It is staffed by our Enrichment leaders. https://www.belmontvillage.com/senior-choices/circle-of-friends

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

We complete a bio for our staff to review and pair them with other residents who have similar interests. Our staff will make sure they get to every meal, to the med cart for medication management and to activities.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

We have transportation Monday through Friday. We take them to doctor appointments on Monday and Thursday, outings on the other days and weather permitting on Friday, we have a walking group. We do have a hair salon open on Monday and Wednesday and the 1st and third Friday and Saturday, we have manicurist here. We have a podiatrist that comes every 63 days, a dentist that comes every 6 months and you may sign up for the Hartley Group to become your Primary Care Physician.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

We are restaurant style serving. Our Chef is from New Orleans. Breakfast is from 7 to 9, lunch is from 11:30 to 1 and dinner is from 5 to 6:30. They may order off of our menu or each day we have a special for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Today was our monthly special call Winter Wonderland with live music and a special menu.

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

We have an open door policy at Belmont. They may address this with any member of our team. After the resident has moved into Belmont, we have what is called an in-touch meeting with the family and resident to see how things are going. You will be given a move-in packet that lists each management team member's email address and phone number. On our business cards, we list our corporate cell phones as well.

What is the cost of living in your community?

We are offering specials through the end of February and taking 10 to 10 percent off the rent. During the assessment, if additional care is needed, you would be told and I have attached a copy of this supplemental rate fees for your review.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

We send out a monthly calendar to let you know what we are doing in the community. We will either call you or send an email to you if we see any changes in their behavior or health and will schedule a meeting with you. You may call our main number and ask to speak to the nurse and she will be happy to answer any questions or address any concerns you might have.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

We do not offer respite care at our community.

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

We are pet-friendly. It is a one-time fee of $500 that is not refundable. We will need a copy of all of their shots and the resident must be able to care for their pet.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

We do offer this and Guardian Pharmacy will set up a date and time for this to be held for our community.

Are residents able to age in place?

Yes, we offer for our residents to age in place. We have several hospice groups who are here in our community and can make a recommendation to you but it is your decision.
