Are you all a pet-friendly community?

Yes. Pet Fee - $300 One pet per household and must be 25 lbs or less.

Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

All the professionals on staff have gone through education and are certified for the many different areas they are working in. This is by state regulations.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

For Residential living on our campus we have security that patrols at night. The maintenance watches as they go about their work and residents call 911 if needed.

The other areas are locked up at night for security.

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

We have a resident council that provides a welcome gift that gives Residential living residents information about the activities that are available on our campus. The neighbors in the different areas are very helpful and friendly to invite the new neighbors. We also have a New Resident Connect every 3 months to welcome the new residents and to give them information and have a time for questions. We provide COX cable TV for the residential Living residents and have our own BVC Channel that gives them all the information. This same information is placed in a flier in the main hallway every Monday and Friday. There is also a recorded phone call that goes out to all Residential Living phones once or twice a week to remind them of the activities.

We also have volunteers that will walk across campus and place fliers on each door to remind residents about activities.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

We offer free transportation for shopping twice a week. We also take residents to doctor’s appointments one day a week with a small fee.

There are other times the transportation is included in the many activities we offer.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

We offer three meals daily in the main administration building. The meals are offered by individual tickets or a 20 meal ticket.

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

Residents are always welcome to come to our office and discuss and issues that are on their mind. If there is a need the different managers are contacted to handle the issue.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

The residents in Residential living provide their emergency contacts information. If needed we contact those persons. Families are always invited to call the main office to inquire about their loved ones.

Other areas of campus may send out email blasts to the families with information or pictures.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

Baptist Village does not have respite care at this time. Baptist Village offers skilled nursing/rehab to a person if they qualify.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

We do not offer Covid shots on our campus. We do offer the annual flu shots.

Are residents able to age in place?

Residents are able to age in place. Sometimes they might need to move into our Assisted Living or into the Health Center for long term care. We also have a Memory Support for some residents. Marie we do have wait lists for all sizes of apartments. To get on the waitlist there has to be an application filled out and a non-refundable fee of $100.00.
