Are you all a pet-friendly community?

Yes. Pet Fee - $300 One pet per household and must be 25 lbs or less.

Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

All the professionals on staff have gone through education and are certified for the many different areas they are working in. This is by state regulations.

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

For Residential living on our campus we have security that patrols at night. The maintenance watches as they go about their work and residents call 911 if needed.

The other areas are locked up at night for security.

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

We have a resident council that provides a welcome gift that gives Residential living residents information about the activities that are available on our campus. The neighbors in the different areas are very helpful and friendly to invite the new neighbors. We also have a New Resident Connect every 3 months to welcome the new residents and to give them information and have a time for questions. We provide COX cable TV for the residential Living residents and have our own BVC Channel that gives them all the information. This same information is placed in a flier in the main hallway every Monday and Friday. There is also a recorded phone call that goes out to all Residential Living phones once or twice a week to remind them of the activities.

We also have volunteers that will walk across campus and place fliers on each door to remind residents about activities.

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

We offer free transportation for shopping twice a week. We also take residents to doctor’s appointments one day a week with a small fee.

There are other times the transportation is included in the many activities we offer.

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

We offer three meals daily in the main administration building. The meals are offered by individual tickets or a 20 meal ticket.

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

Residents are always welcome to come to our office and discuss and issues that are on their mind. If there is a need the different managers are contacted to handle the issue.

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

The residents in Residential living provide their emergency contacts information. If needed we contact those persons. Families are always invited to call the main office to inquire about their loved ones.

Other areas of campus may send out email blasts to the families with information or pictures.

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

Baptist Village does not have respite care at this time. Baptist Village offers skilled nursing/rehab to a person if they qualify.

Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community?

We do not offer Covid shots on our campus. We do offer the annual flu shots.

Are residents able to age in place?

Residents are able to age in place. Sometimes they might need to move into our Assisted Living or into the Health Center for long term care. We also have a Memory Support for some residents. Marie we do have wait lists for all sizes of apartments. To get on the waitlist there has to be an application filled out and a non-refundable fee of $100.00.

Baptist Village Communities of Oklahoma (BVC) is a not-for-profit organization that has been serving adults age 55 and better in Oklahoma since 1963. BVC has grown to become the state’s largest not-for-profit senior housing and services provider, currently operating eleven campuses and serving more than 1,300 residents every day.

BVC campuses provide multiple levels of services and choices. We have the services you need when you need them. Life at Baptist Village of Oklahoma City provides peace of mind for the residents and their families.

History and Growth

BVC of Oklahoma City began ministry in 1965 when we opened T.B. Lackey Manor, our long-term Health Center. We have grown our campus through the years, and we now offer 257 independent living apartments, duplexes, and quadplexes, and houses. We have 35 one-bedroom assisted living apartments, and of course our renovated memory support neighborhood, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, and the long-term care health center.

Affordable Living

Residential (independent) living in our Village is affordable. No long-term contracts or buy-ins are required. We have a one-time resident reservation list fee, a one-time move-in fee, and reasonable monthly service fees. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

Life Enrichment Activities

BVC offers a variety of life enrichment activities including on campus events, day trips, exercise, Bible studies, and transportation for shopping. Relax and enjoy the freedom to travel, as much or as little as you choose, and make new friends.

Entrusted Hearts by Baptist Village

Entrusted Hearts by Baptist Village is a licensed home health agency and CHAP-accredited medical equipment company. The Entrusted Hearts team members can assist you or a loved one in reaching and maintaining the highest possible level of independence at home. Personalized services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
