The all-inclusive monthly cost

The all-inclusive monthly cost is $6475.00 for a private bedroom. A shared bedroom is $4500.00.

The one-time admission fee

The one-time admission fee is $2000.00 upon moving in and can also be used as a fully refundable deposit to hold the room for 14 days.

Additional fees

The $300.00 monthly fee for incontinence (daily care/physical sanitizing of one's person/all supplies) will only apply if one needs that service. If hospice is involved at the time of move-in, this fee is automatically waived. This completes the spectrum of pricing.

Overview of Our Professional Staff and Training

Our staff undergoes a minimum of 16 hours of dementia training before starting, followed by at least 6 hours of continuous training annually. Given the special needs of many of our residents, we often provide personalized training beyond these requirements.

Safety and Well-Being Measures

To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, our community is equipped with coded magnetic locks to prevent wandering. We also have a secure outdoor area for residents to enjoy safely.

Support Services for Transitioning Residents

We offer resources to aid in the transition into our community, including suggestions for movers and non-emergency transport. Our staff works closely with families to understand each resident's unique preferences during the initial stages of their stay.

Transportation Services

Due to the specialized nature of our memory care services, we do not offer external transportation services for residents. Family members are encouraged to arrange transportation for offsite appointments, while medical professionals visit onsite.

Dining Experience

Residents can enjoy home-cooked meals either in the communal dining area or in the privacy of their own rooms, according to their preference.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

Our management team is committed to addressing any complaints or issues promptly, with attention to both verbal and non-verbal cues from residents to ensure their needs are met.

Communication with Residents' Families

Communication preferences with residents' families are handled on a case-by-case basis, allowing for varying degrees of involvement according to each family's wishes.

Short-term and Respite Stays

We offer respite stays of 60 days or more, with all fees paid upfront and non-refundable. Our focus is on permanent residents, and rooms are unfurnished to accommodate this.

Pet-Friendly Community

Pets are welcome to visit, and we also provide pet therapy for our residents.

Residents have access to both Covid and flu vaccinations within the community.

Aging in Place

Our community supports residents' ability to age in place, providing continuous care as their needs evolve.

Avalon Memory Care Services

Avalon is a small-by-design, dedicated memory care with space for 22 residents in our location at 1150 Colonel Drive, Garland, TX 75043. Below is a list of our services:

• Private and shared bedrooms are available.
• All day-to-day custodial care (such as dressing, bathing, grooming).
• Three prepared meals are served daily as well as snacks. We can also accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Medication management as well as refills or any necessary prescriptions through our local pharmacy.
• Cable and Wi-fi is included.
• Full laundry service and housekeeping, including changing all linens.
• In-home doctor and healthcare visits can be coordinated and attended by our trained staff (e.g. – physicians, podiatrists, physical therapists, etc.).
• Assistance with all dental care and denture maintenance.
