FAQs

Staff and Training
We have caregivers, CNA's, and nurses on our care staff. CNA's and Nurses are state-licensed professionals, and all care team members go through Frontier training before interacting with residents. Every team member completes an Illinois training program online called Relias. The state ensures that every team member is up to date on their training during their yearly state survey. We recently had our state survey and had a perfect result with no deficiencies in any department.
Resident Safety and Well-being
The entire community was designed with the safety of residents in mind. All exterior doors are alarmed. Every resident gets an assessment done by our nurse, which informs the care team about the individual needs of the residents, and a service plan is created based on the outcome of the assessment. We provide care based on an individual's needs and offer many opportunities for residents to participate in community programs. There are grab bars in all the bathrooms and a button in the apartment that can be pressed if care is needed. The care team performs checks on all residents day and night, and there is a nurse in the community 24 hours per day.
Transition Support Services
Prior to move-in, the family receives a leisure assessment to complete. This helps our Lifestyle Director to help residents acclimate to community life. We also partner new residents with others who may have things in common or are in similar places in their journey with dementia, aiming to keep them engaged using acclaimed SPARK programming.
Transportation Services
We have a bus but do not offer transportation to resident appointments at this time. Residents use the bus for shopping, luncheons, or events planned outside the community as part of the SPARK programming experience.
Dining Experience
Our Executive Chef creates a diverse menu with an entrée of the day at each meal. We also have an everyday dining menu that includes resident favorites. The menu is always changing, including seasonal fruits and vegetables and exceptional offerings for holidays and special occasions. Adaptations are made for residents based on their dining/care needs.
Addressing Complaints or Issues
Communication is key at The Auberge. Complaints should be brought to Sandy Gourley, our Executive Director. There is also an Ombudsman program in place through the Illinois Department of Aging for unresolved issues. Family receives contact information for all department leaders for any questions or concerns.
Cost of Living
Rent + Care (with six levels of care; care levels determined by the nurse): $4835 semi-private, $7035 private. Care starts at $725 level 1, up to $3850 level 6.
Communication with Residents' Families
Good communication is very important. Our nurse communicates any care concerns or changes with the power of attorney/health care. Care conferences are held every six months, and in emergencies, the power of attorney is notified immediately.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We offer respite stays at $275 per day.
Pet Policy
We are a pet-friendly community with some restrictions. We have a community dog named Sassy. Residents' pets are considered on a case-by-case basis, with the family responsible for all pet care needs.
Vaccination Clinics
Yes, we have vaccination clinics for flu and Covid.
Age in Place
Yes, we are an age in place community, offering comprehensive care services including on-call physician groups and therapy services. We work with local hospice groups for residents needing additional care.
The Auberge at Naperville
The Auberge at Naperville is a stand-alone memory care community on the north end of Naperville about a mile from I-88. We specialize in caring for residents with cognitive decline and have an incredible community that was designed for residents with memory impairment. Residents are encouraged to navigate the community to enjoy acclaimed SPARK programming daily.
SPARK Programming
SPARK encourages residents to take part in purposeful activities that encourage socialization and lifelong learning. SPARK places focus on supporting residents' ideas, choices, and independence no matter where they are in their journey with dementia.
