Staff and Training

Could you provide an overview on the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility?

Our most valued staff are our Caregivers and some have longevity of 9 years. Many of our care-staff are CNA’s. Each care-staff interviews with each department/manager, have the required background checks, and are trained one-on-one on the floor with the department head for at-least 3 days. Our Executive Director has 18 years’ experience, as well as our Health Services Director has 13 years’ experience. All of our staff is fully trained on our Montessori SPARK program and assessed at intervals to make certain they are up-to-date with our high standards, core values and vision.

Safety and Well-being

Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents?

We are a Memory Care Community, therefore our building is secure at ALL times to ensure our residents are safe and secure. All of our department heads are well versed, trained, and experienced in the day-to-day activities of our residents. We also have cameras in the common areas and a Concierge Monday-Friday 8am-8pm. Our Health Services Director is in the community Monday-Friday and on-call 24/7. We have a Medication Tech 24/7, an Environmental Services Director, House Cleaning, Executive Chef, Resident Care Coordinator, Lifestyles Director and Assistant, Business Office Manager and Sales Director.

Transition Support Services

Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community?

Yes, we have an amazing Resident Advocate who lives in our community and is an important part of welcoming new residents, and who also establishes a meaningful relationship with all our residents, but also their families. She brings topics to our attention and is always welcome to speak to any of our department heads to share concerns, questions, and ideas. We have a group of residents that is our Welcome Committee and they make/present special treats for the new resident as they arrive and help make them feel welcome during the activities. Our Executive Director and Health Services Director has an open-door policy for residents and families.

Transportation Services

Do you offer transportation services for residents?

Yes, we have a Bus and we have weekly outings, such as Dairy Queen, Walmart, and local seasonal festivities to name a few. This is especially fun and rewarding during the Holidays when we can tour a Pumpkin Patch or look at Christmas lights.

Dining Experience

Could you tell me a little about your dining experience?

Our Executive Chef cooks with his heart and residents families often join us for lunch/dinner. Our dining room has linen table cloths, fresh flowers in a vase, and each resident is treated as if they are at a fine-dining restaurant. We make it a top priority to cater to unique needs and request. Our care-staff often play music in the background and this is a time to not just enjoy a nutritious and delicious home-cooked meal, but to socialize with other residents, staff and families that are visiting. The dining room and meals feel like “home”. Often if I have a tour at a meal time, the tour will comment on how the energy in the room is warm and the sound of conversations brings a smile to their face.

Resident Concerns and Complaints

What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed?

As stated above, our Executive Director and Health Services Director have an open-door policy and our Resident Advocate is sharing day-to-day conversations with all of us and feels very comfortable and enjoys this role. Also, each morning we have a Resident Meeting in our Theater where they have the opportunity to ask and/or address topics of concern or interest. Our community is Resident Driven and we strive to assure they have a voice in all the day-to-day activities. Everyone has a voice here at The Auberge and no complaint or issue is viewed as small or unimportant.

Cost of Living

What is the cost of living in your community?

Our monthly rates include 24/hr care, Medication management, Health Services Director (Nurse), 3 meals a day plus snacks and hydration, house cleaning, laundry, 7 days a week scheduled activities programmed specifically for Memory Care. The only out-of-pocket is prescription co-pay cost, incontinent supplies, and regular Physician co-pays.

Communication with Families

What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being?

We do a Care Plan with the family upon move-in and then every quarter. And of course, as needed. Our ED and HSD has an open-door policy as well, so often families stop in to chat or catch up. Our Health Services Director sends emails, phone calls and text messages (whichever the family prefers) if something arises.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost?

At this time, we are not offering Respite Stay, but we are excited to share that we are working on getting this set up.

Pet-Friendly Community

Are you all a pet-friendly community?

Pets do not live at our community (except for our birds, Lucy and Ethel), but we have pet therapy with a couple of local groups that we schedule on a regular basis. Our families also are encouraged to bring their pets to visit as well. We have many posts on Facebook where we have shared some of our Pet Therapies, such as Miniature Ponies, Goats, Show Dogs, and of course we have 2 precious song-birds that our residents take care of.

Waitlist Information

Do you guys currently have a waitlist?

Currently we do not have a wait-list.
