FAQs
Do you guys currently have a waitlist? Yes, we are currently full & have a waiting list for both 1 bedrooms and studio apartments.
Could you provide an overview of the types of professionals on your staff and the training they undergo at your facility? We have CNA’s, Medication technicians, LPN’s, RN’s, chef’s, waitstaff, housekeepers, maintenance staff and manager’s for all of the above. We all undergo monthly training pertaining to everything from phone etiquette to harmful chemicals.
Could you tell me about the measures you have in place to ensure the safety and well-being of your residents? We provide all our residents with an emergency call bracelet to be warn at all times in case of an emergency. We also check on them for every meal if they have not attended. Our wellness office is open for any resident to walk into throughout the day as well, if they need some help.
Do you offer any resources or support services to aid residents' transition into the community? We have an ambassador program designed to help new residents move in. The ambassador’s are residents who have been here a while and will sit with the new person at meals, introduce to their friends, invite them to activities and it helps make them feel comfortable right away.
Do you offer transportation services for residents? Yes, Monday – Friday. 3 days are specific for doctor’ appointments. The other days are for errands and outings.
Could you tell me a little about your dining experience? Our dining room is like a restaurant with wonderful waitstaff. There are 2 seatings for each meal to choose from. There are also 2 main entrees served hot and fresh and then another menu where we can make salads, sandwiches, burgers, etc.
What is the process that takes place if a resident has a complaint or an issue they want addressed? The resident can go to any manager with a complaint -we have a manger on duty every day but also our Executive Director would be the best person to go to.
What is the cost of living in your community? The cost depends on the size apartment. Studio apartments can range from $3,600 - $4,500 depending on the size. 1 bedrooms can range from $5,500 - $6,500 depending on the size. I have attached our care and medication management levels to this email.
What is your policy on communication with resident's families? How do you keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being? We send out a monthly newsletter about the goings-on at the community. When it comes to their well-being, we wouldn’t need to communicate unless there’s a problem. No news is good news. We have an open door policy so you can reach out to ask how your loved one is doing at any time.
Do you all offer short-term or respite stays? How much does this cost? If we have availability to do so, we would. The daily rate for a respite is about $170/day for a studio but that doesn’t include if they needed personal care or med management so it can be more like $200/day if that needed to be added in.
Are you all a pet-friendly community? Yes, the resident needs to manage their dog or cat on their own though and there’s a $500 one time pet fee due at move in.
Are residents able to get Covid vaccination and flu vaccinations in the community? Yes, we hold a clinic to have both of these done each year.
Are residents able to age in place? Yes, we offer 6 levels of care so we can offer a good amount of care but the RI guideline’s state that anyone in assisted living can only ever be a 2 person assist so if the resident can no longer stand on their own, walk or self-propel a wheel chair, they are beyond our scope. They can only ever need 1 person to help them off a chair, help them in and out of bed, in and out of the shower, etc. If they are non-weight baring and need 2 people, they’re not safe to live here. Also, we don’t do any skilled nursing like IV’s, catheters, colostomy bags, etc. Residents have to be able to manage it all themselves. Even oxygen. These are RI regulations that we follow.
