Overview of Staff and Training

Dr. Bruce Pendley, who specializes in Internal Medicine, leads our medical team. He completed his medical school training and now supervises other MDs, as well as Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants, to aid in the daily services and visits for our residents.

Resident Safety and Well-Being

To ensure the safety and well-being of our residents, all exterior doors lock between the hours of 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. Additionally, we have security personnel on campus throughout the night. Our staff performs rounds on each patient every 2 hours to check for any needs and provide necessary care.

Transition Support Services

We provide support for residents transitioning back into the community through our Social Workers, who assist with discharge planning. The care team determines the required level of post-facility care, setting up Home Health or Outpatient services as needed. We also ensure medications are called into the pharmacy of the resident's choice, order necessary medical equipment, and coordinate follow-up appointments.

Transportation Services

We do not offer transportation services for residents.

Dining Experience

Residents currently dine in their rooms, with meals provided for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Residents have alternative menu options if they do not prefer the main meal. We can accommodate most dietary needs except for Vegan or Celiac disease diets.

Resident Complaints and Issues

Residents have multiple avenues to address complaints or issues, including Care plan meetings, contacting their social worker, head nurse, CNA, customer service representative, or an Administrator. Signs are also posted throughout the facility with contact information for the State Ombudsman and instructions on reaching out to the State directly for concerns or complaints.

Family Communication

Care plan meetings are offered throughout each resident's stay. Nursing and Social Workers also communicate with families and residents about any changes in care or medications.

Short-Term and Respite Stays

We offer both short-term and respite stays. The cost depends on the resident's insurance or if the resident is private pay. The pharmacy bills separately at the end of the month.

Pet Policy

We welcome pet visits with appropriate shot records from their vets.

Waitlist Status

Currently, we have 59 people on our waiting list.

Vaccinations

Residents are offered Flu shots annually. We are not currently offering Covid vaccinations due to a lack of supply but will provide them once a new batch becomes available.

Aging in Place

We offer services to individuals aged 16 and older. However, we do not provide pediatric care.

Respiratory Unit

Our facility includes a 60-bed Respiratory Unit where we provide specialized care for patients with respiratory needs. We are equipped to manage patients who require:

• Ventilator/Tracheostomy support
• C-Pap/Bpap machines
• Non-invasive ventilation machines
• High Flow O2 via piped oxygen

Dialysis Den

In addition to our respiratory services, we also have a Dialysis Den on our campus. We offer in-house Hemodialysis (HD) services to residents who qualify. Currently, we have 17 residents receiving HD on campus, which is our maximum capacity.
