Basic support for activities of daily living is included in the monthly rent. A simple, comprehensive assessment determines the level of care. Residents whose assessment indicates needs beyond the included support may add a supplemental level of care. Our goal is to support each resident in achieving and maintaining their highest level of independence.

Overview of Artisan at Hudson

Artisan at Hudson is a senior living community that offers independent living, assisted living, and memory care options to cater to the diverse needs of its residents.

Accommodation Types

The community provides various sizes of apartments, ranging from studios to two-bedroom units, designed to offer comfort and convenience to its residents.

Respite Care

Artisan at Hudson offers respite care services with a minimum stay of 30 days and a maximum of 60 days, ensuring flexible short-term care options for seniors.

Moving Assistance

The community has a list of recommended professionals in the area to assist residents with moving in. Families are also welcome to assist if they choose to do so.

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed within the community, with a preference for medium to small cats, dogs, or birds, and other pets may be allowed subject to the director's approval. A monthly pet fee is applicable.

Outdoor Access

While there are no designated pet parks within the community, residents have access to the Assabet Valley Rail Trail, a paved walkway ideal for leisurely walks with pets.

Dining Experience

The dining room operates from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering open seating and three meals a day for assisted living residents. The menu includes an "always available" selection and a full menu that changes weekly.

Safety and Security

Residents are provided with pendants to alert staff in case of falls or when assistance is needed. Regular checks are conducted at night, and the community has 24-hour security staff, locked entrances during late hours, and surveillance cameras.

Addressing Resident Complaints

Residents can voice complaints through suggestion boxes, directly to the management team, or during monthly town hall meetings. A formal complaint policy is also outlined in the lease agreement.

Family Communication

The executive director sends weekly updates to families, and the nursing staff maintains regular communication regarding any changes in residents' conditions or behaviors.

Transportation Services

Transportation is provided for appointments within a 10-mile radius and for scheduled outings. A van and a bus are available, with transportation offered three days a week for appointments and two days for outings.

Staff and Services

The community is staffed with an executive director, wellness director, registered nurses, resident care associates, dining staff, maintenance personnel, housekeepers, life enrichment associates, sales and marketing team, business office staff, and concierges. Additionally, there is an on-site hairdresser and therapy services for physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
