In our communities, we have RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and MTRs. Several of our frontline team are certified dementia practitioners also. We use trainings from Positive Approach to Caring by Teepa Snow, as well as mandatory in-person trainings held monthly.

Measures to Ensure the Safety and Well-being of Our Residents

At Artis of Wilmette, we have over 20,000 sq ft of secured walkable space for our residents both indoors and outdoors. Resources or Support Services for Residents' Transition

We offer our amazing Director of Artis Way Experience (DAWE) Maggie. She has a unique position that bridges the communication between our families and what happens in the community. She works with our families from the moment they sign paperwork to the end. She is also our expert in Dementia and delivers support groups to families and the community monthly. Because of her Master's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, she works closely with our Life Enrichment team to ensure our programs cater toward engagement. Maggie is the best resource for our families during their time of transition at move in.

Transportation Services for Residents

We don't, but we will offer resources that other families have used.

Dining Experience

Our chef's specialty is Spanish and Mexican cuisine! Our culinary director uses fresh and seasonal ingredients while taking into account each of our residents' specific dietary needs and preferences.

Process for Addressing Resident Complaints or Issues

We have a grievance form that is completed by our DAWE and the resident. We address these grievances with a whole team approach.

Cost of Living in Our Community

Policy on Communication with Resident's Families

There is a weekly update from our Executive Director, monthly calls from our Director of Health and Wellness, as well as additional updates from our Coordinators of Health and Wellness to families for any changes.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We do offer short-term/respite stays. Our minimum stay is 30 days and the cost is $350 per day.

Pet Policy

We are not, but we love pet visits!

Not currently, but we're close to having one for the first time since we opened almost 3 years ago.

Covid and Flu Vaccinations

Yes, we administer the vaccines here on site.

Aging in Place

Our Artis locations are thoughtfully designed for our residents to age in place. We work closely with the family, our physicians, and our Director of Health and Wellness to determine when a conversation about palliative care or hospice may be appropriate.
