Overview of Our Professional Staff and Training

Our Nursing Department consists of RN’s (Registered Nurses), LPN’s (Licensed Practical Nurses), and CNA’s (Certified Nurses Assistants). We also have a Licensed Administrator, Full-time Dietician, 2 Full-Time Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists, a Food Safe certified Dietary Director, a Licensed Activity Director, and many other ancillary staff members. All employees undergo background checks prior to hire and must participate in mandatory regulatory classes and in-services.

Safety and Well-being Measures

All our doors leading outside are monitored via camera, and employees have codes to get in and out. The front door is monitored by our staff, and we have a secure memory care unit for our dementia population. After hours, our main entrance is locked, requiring permission from our Night Supervisor to enter.

Transition Resources and Support Services

Our Social Work Department and Therapy Department work closely with area Home Care companies of the patient’s choosing, ensuring that any equipment, medications, and services are set prior to the patient returning home.

Transportation Services

We have contracts with local ambulance companies to provide round trip services for all our resident’s needs.

Dining Experience

We cater to all patient’s dietary needs. Our Full-Time Dietician meets with patients and families to ensure that the proper diets are being followed, discussing food likes and dislikes to ensure patient satisfaction throughout their stay. All food is made on the premise by our talented chefs and dietary staff.

Resident Grievance Policy

Aristacare at Whiting has a top-tier grievance policy that assures that every concern gets addressed and shared with the resident and their families. The grievance team meets multiple times a week, including corporate oversight.

Cost of Living

Current rates are $420 per day for a semi-private room and $460 per day for a private accommodation. These rates are all-inclusive, with physicians billing the patient’s primary and secondary insurances. Medications are billed under the patient's Medicare Part D plan.

Communication with Resident's Families

Our Care Conference team, consisting of our Social Worker, Dietician, Therapy Director, Nursing Manager, Activities Director, and the primary Nursing Aide, meets with families and patients throughout the patient's stay. Impromptu meetings can be requested at any time to discuss the patient's wellbeing and care pathways.

Short-term or Respite Stays

We offer respite stays of 2 days or longer, with negotiable rates sometimes covered by insurance.

Pet-Friendly Community

Pets are allowed to visit with proof of current vaccinations, but must be leashed or in carriers. We do not allow residential animals at this time.

Waitlist Information

We currently do not have a waitlist, though bed availability varies by unit depending on male/female requests.

Vaccination Availability

All vaccinations, including Covid and Flu, are offered in-house throughout the year.

Aging in Place

Yes, we offer nursing care, emotional support, and daily activities for all ages.
