Living Options and Pricing

  • Independent Living $2,050 per month, 220 sq. ft.
  • Enhanced Studio $2,100 per month, 220 sq. ft.
  • Independent Living $2,250 per month, 320 sq. ft., kitchenette with small refrigerator
  • Enhanced Care/Memory Care – Alarmed Community - $4,695 - $5,195 per month, 220 sq. ft. Care services are included in this rate.

Additional Fees

  • Second Person Fee $500 per month
  • Deposit $500, Community Fee Regular $1,500, Special $500 Deposit, becomes Non-Refundable Community Fee after move-in. Savings of $1,000. Residents must move-in before March 31st, 2024.

Welcome to Our Community

We provide a studio apartment, 3 meals a day, weekly housekeeping, daily bed and trash, all utilities are included except for cable TV, and telephone. Care is provided by a third-party caregiver (Homestead) in the building 24/7. Their fees are additional, upon assessment they would be able to provide you the cost of their services. I will be sending an additional email with our menu and activities sheet. I would like to encourage you to come in and tour our community at your earliest convenience.

Our Staff and Training

American House staff consists of housekeepers, cooks, servers, maintenance, and office staff. Homestead (care provider) nurse and site supervisor on staff during business hours M-F, caregiver staff. Caregiving staff has gone through training.

Safety and Well-being Measures

Staff training on Emergency Preparedness, residents can pay for an emergency pendent through Homestead. We must have quarterly training to be compliant with the MI Choice Waiver Program.

Transitioning into Our Community

Upon move-in staff will introduce themselves, resident will be shown to all the common areas, our Life Enrichment Director (activities) will meet with them and find out what kind of activities they would like to participate in.

Transportation Services

We do provide transportation within 10 miles of our location on Mondays and Tuesday, family or resident will have to schedule a couple of days in advance, one week for medical appointments. Resident will not be accompanied by any of our staff.

Dining Experience

Three meals a day in our dining room, there are alternatives that the resident can pick from, they would need to notify the dining room staff by 10:00 am that they want the alternatives that offered on the menu.

Addressing Complaints and Issues

We want to hear all complaints, and suggestions, you can call American House for anything pertaining to the apartment, maintenance, meals, or housekeeping, or contact care team regarding any care issues.

Communication with Residents' Families

We will call the family if there are any changes in their health or concerns about their wellbeing.

Short-term or Respite Stays

Respite stays are determined on our occupancy, currently we are a full community, so we do not provide any respite stays. Cost would be determined on how long they would be staying and what their needs are.

Pet-Friendly Community

Yes, we are a pet friendly community, there is a $250 non-refundable deposit. Resident must provide ALL care for their animal and clean-up. The animal can’t be a disturbance to the community.

Vaccinations

We do not provide Covid shots, once a year we do provide flu shots thru the third-party office in the fall.

Aging in Place

Yes, they can age in place, we welcome Hospice into our community. There are times when the resident needs a higher level of care than our care team can provide. We have immediate availability
