Overview of Staff and Training

Both Allison and Wheatridge Manor are skilled nursing facilities staffed with Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nurse Aides 24/7. Additional staff includes a Social Worker, Nursing Home Administrator, and Director of Nursing who provide ongoing education. Allison Care Center specializes in Dementia care, offering extensive dementia training. Facilities also have a Registered Dietician, Activities Coordinator, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and collaborate with two Physician groups, ensuring a Physician and a Nurse Practitioner are available throughout the week.

Safety and Well-being Measures

In alignment with Colorado's Resident Rights, all staff members are mandatory reporters for any rights violations, triggering an investigation by the State Health Department to ensure resident safety and well-being.

Transition Support Services

An interdisciplinary team supports residents' transition into the community, supplemented by behavioral health/counseling services for those needing additional support.

Transportation Services

Vivage Beecan provides transportation services for medical appointments, with arrangements made for any unavailability.

Dining Experience

Residents can choose to eat in the dining room or have meals delivered to their room, with two main dish options and an "always offered" menu available.

Complaint Resolution Process

Complaints are addressed by facility leadership, with a tracking system in place to resolve concerns. The State Ombudsman can also be involved as a third-party mediator if necessary.

Allison Care Center's daily rate ranges from $330-$395, while Wheatridge Manor Care Center's rate is $383 per day.

Communication with Residents' Families

The social worker serves as the primary contact for updates on residents' well-being, with care conferences held quarterly and notifications for significant condition changes.

Short-term and Respite Stays

Facilities offer respite stays (minimum 14 days at Allison) and short-term skilled therapy stays, with costs covered privately or through Medicaid and insurance.

Pet-Friendly Policy

Pets are allowed to visit with current vaccination records, but cannot reside in the community.

Currently, there is no waitlist at Allison Care Center and Wheatridge Manor, though bed availability fluctuates.
