Overview of Professional Staff and Training
Our clinical care staff includes Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN’s), and our Director of Nursing is a Registered Nurse (RN). All have completed relevant courses and are licensed in their specialties. We adhere to Supportive Living regulations for mandatory training in Illinois and undergo annual audits by Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) to ensure compliance with state guidelines.
Safety and Well-being Measures
Our community conducts emergency contingency planning and drills, including fire, tornado, and power loss scenarios. We have fire doors, emergency call boxes, and pull cords in restrooms. Residents may opt for an emergency pendant. The front door is locked nightly, and stairways are keypad-secured for staff and emergency personnel. Weekly vital checks are performed for each resident.
Transition Support Services
New residents receive an orientation within 72 hours of arrival. Resident Council members often welcome new residents and invite them to communal meals.
Transportation Services
We share a community bus with Alden Valley Ridge for church visits and shopping trips. Outings are scheduled by our activities department, such as baseball games. Transportation for medical appointments can be arranged through residents' insurance.
Dining Experience
Our dining room operates three times a day with open seating. Meals are served restaurant-style with a weekly specials menu and an always available menu. We offer sugar-free desserts but not special diets.
Resident Complaint Process
Complaint forms are available at the front desk. Completed forms are reviewed by the Executive Director and relevant department managers. A suggestion box and monthly Resident Council meetings provide additional feedback channels.
Cost of Living
We offer private pay rates and Medicaid options. Rent is adjusted based on individual income, with a minimum income requirement of $853 per month. Residents on Medicaid receive a personal allowance, with optional charges for landline phone and cable services.

Community updates are sent via email. The nursing department communicates medical concerns and updates with families as needed.
Short-term or Respite Stays
We do not offer respite stays; these are available at our sister facility Alden Valley Ridge, which provides a higher level of care.
Pet Policy
We are a pet-friendly community, allowing one pet per resident under certain conditions, including a weight limit and a one-time pet fee. A waiting list is in place, with wait times varying by apartment preference.
