Overview of Professionals on Staff and Training
We have many different types of professionals on our team, including LVN nurses (3), a Care Director with assistant Care Directors, med techs, a full kitchen team, housekeepers, maintenance, concierge and more. Some of our Care Managers are CNAs; however, in the state of California, that is not a requirement to work in a community setting. All of our team undergo specialized training in both physical care and dementia care. I would be happy to provide further detail on this if needed.
Measures to Ensure Safety and Well-being of Residents
We have many different safety features and safety protocols depending on the situation. We do routine earthquake drills, fire drills, elopement drills, and more. We have a backup generator to power our building if the electricity goes out, emergency food and water supplies, satellite phones, fire doors, sprinkler systems, and more. Again, I would be happy to provide further detail if needed.
Resources and Support Services for Residents' Transition
We understand that this type of transition is a difficult one, which is why our team has a different plan in place for each of our new residents depending on their abilities, likes/dislikes, and cognitive levels. We have resident ambassadors who help new residents with their first few weeks, but we also have a smaller community which makes it easy for our team to check on new residents and invite them to activities and meals. Our menu is overseen by a registered dietitian, we are also able to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions. We offer all-day dining to our residents, including daily specials and a seasonal menu.

This certainly depends on the complaint or issue; however, we encourage our residents and families to voice their opinions and our General Manager gives all families his cell phone number so if there is an issue they can speak with him directly vs. going through our concierge.

This greatly depends on care needs; however, the cost starts at $6,600/month for rent which includes meals, housekeeping, laundry, transportation, amenities, utilities, and a personal help button to request assistance from our team 24/7.
Policy on Communication with Residents' Families
We have daily updates from our team until a resident’s family feels comfortable, every family is unique and we create a personal communication plan that works for you. We also have an app where we include pictures, updates, and attendance for activities so families can stay informed.

Yes, cost is anywhere from $300-$400/day depending on needs. The stays are for 30 days.
