Overview of Professional Staff and Training
We have Certified Nursing Assistants, Certified Medication Aides, Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Nurses with BSNs. We also have speech therapists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. They receive ongoing training through monthly in-service trainings, weekly "huddles" with nursing management, and monthly training courses tailored to their area of expertise.
Safety and Well-being of Residents
We evaluate each resident individually and create a nursing service agreement with all stakeholders, including the resident and DPOA, to address the resident’s well-being and care needs, providing an individualized approach for their specific care needs.
Resources for Transitioning into the Community
Our staff will get to know the resident and their history, communicate this to their care team, pair them with a "buddy," and orient them to daily activities and answer any questions they have.
Transportation Services
Yes, we offer transportation services. Residents need to coordinate with the nursing team to make arrangements.
Dining Experience
In assisted living, we offer 3 meals a day and an always available menu. The residents are served restaurant style in the dining room.
Addressing Resident Complaints and Issues
Residents are encouraged to communicate any concerns, and we hold monthly resident council meetings as well.
Cost of Living
For assisted living, pricing is based on the size of the apartment and the level of care. Monthly costs range from $5,272-$10,575.
Communication with Residents' Families
We maintain open communication with residents' families to keep them updated about their loved ones' well-being.
Short-term or Respite Stays
Yes, we offer respite stays. The cost is a daily rate based on the level of care needed for the resident.
Pet-Friendly Community
Residents can have pets in our Independent Living apartments, but not in Assisted Living. Pets are allowed to be brought into the community, and we have therapy dogs visit as well.
Waitlist Information
We currently have a waitlist in Long-Term care and Memory care but have available apartments in Assisted and Independent living.
Aberdeen Village Continuing Care Retirement Community
Aberdeen Village is a Continuing Care Retirement Community, and our Assisted Living offers three different apartment floor plans. Monthly fees cover whatever assistance is needed according to their level of care, utilities, cable, weekly housekeeping, flat-linen service, scheduled transportation, wellness programming, a myriad of life-enrichment opportunities and all three meals per day in our dining room.
Good Samaritan Program
Additionally, we offer the peace of mind of our Good Samaritan Program, which is a charitably funded program for residents who have outlived their resources.
